Hello yes I moved to Barcelona in 2020 during Covid because my wife is Catalan. She is from Barcelona once we got married in Minneapolis Minnesota where I’m from we moved here I wish I would’ve known everything about this country before I moved how hard it is to get a job, how I have to beg for things that are just given in America. I can’t believe you had to beg your agent to sell the house lol that’s just insane! Yes, very different culture and from my perspective this country is a little way too laid-back. When it comes to education health laws and leaking water, they just put a bucket down lol. We have been here three years now. It took 1 year to get my NIE, and second year I got my social security number and Spanish bank account. Now I have been searching for work for months. I have emailed and interviewed with recruiters but Spain is just too laid back. We will be forced to move back to America if I can’t find a job. From what I hear even spainyards have a hard time getting jobs hence why Spain unemployment rate is like 24%😅. The system seems a bit outdated and the king doesn’t care about middle class. It seems people just accept the way things are in Spain where as in America we fight for our rights and what is right. If anyone has any tips on how to find work any type of work I have a lot of experience please let me know. Thanks for the great video!
