You are the only creator I know who does multi camera, and it comes out well! Additionally I love your topics and your metered cadence. Really superb work
I can't explain it well but these visuals give me the same vibe as an early color film set in downtown LA. Will very much enjoy falling asleep to this tonight.
I backpacked around Europe in college in the 1990s. We spent a couple of days in Vienna. We spent a whole day at the Hofburg in the museums and I have a very clear memory of a beautiful bright. Lear sunny day and people eating picnic lunches on the grass in that spectacular park! It’s one of my best memories from that trip. Thank you for the reminder! 😊
Thank you! The Hofburg is definitely a must see when you visit Vienna - even if you skip all the museums etc, it's fascinating to walk through and see that mix of gorgeous and yet weirdly aligned buildings.
I really enjoyed the perspective of this map and the details it shows. The maps and books you use are so interesting. I wonder where you find them all?! Thanks for sharing Vienna with us!
I think an ASMR video on Maria Theresa would be interesting. She lived when Catherine the Great ruled Russia, Frederick the Great ruled Prussia, George III was King of England, her husband Francis I was Holy Roman Emperor, and her son-in-law Louis XVI was King of France… The eighteenth century was a golden age of monarchs.
The maps and books you use for your videos are great. Thanks for another relaxing video! This might be a silly question but why aren't you allowed to sit on the grass in parks in Vienna? Is this normal across Austria or unique to Vienna?
Thank you! I always thought this one was a little touristy haha, but for these types of videos it's perfect. With the parks, I'm not sure either - it might be a case of is this a park or is this a decorative green space that's only supposed to look nice? Though now that I'm thinking about it, it's not quite as bad as I made it sound! There are a lot of places where you can sit down. But for example the grass at Heldenplatz in front of the Neue Burg is off limits, and there's something to said about Vienna that it's okay to park your car there but not to have a picknick with your kids lol.
Have you watched the Netflix series The Empress/Die Kaiserin? Not sure about historical accuracy but a very entertaining show about the Hapsburg Monarchy
@@MelangeASMR haha makes sense - I grew up in the US so feels like I haven’t seen much about that time period in TV, I studied abroad in Prague and visited Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest so always fascinated with the history of these areas!
Yeah it's kind of everywhere around here, especially Sisi 😅 Though the way she's commodified in tourism is actually pretty interesting, considering how little she liked her role. Studying in Prague sounds amazing! It's a great starting point for travelling in the area.

Ooh I love that comparison. Thank you!

For all the kitsch that tourist shops sell, you sometimes find really neat things in there - I mean this was so lucky! And I'm glad you liked it too 🥰
Perfect amount of tracing. Perfect amount of soft spoken. Perfectly perfect in every way 😉
Woohooo!
Thank you! Your voice is magical. Love these history lessons.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

I would love a video on the Habsburgs themselves! 💗💗💗
Thank you, Sara, and a video on the Spanish Habsburgs is coming soon!
Do I relax and listen or look up more history of the Hofburg, I can't decide!

That is a great idea, thank you for the suggestion!
I can’t imagine not being able to sit or walk on the grass!
Yeah, that wasn't quite accurate, it's not actually that strict anymore!

I haven't - I feel like I'm still saturated from the Romy Schneider Sisi movies I watched as a kid lol
