Oh yeah the sound kick's Ass i love this sport! Hauling Ass up river sending a rooster tail 100 feet in the air and about 200 feet long it moves me! You guys rule🤘
Michael great video thanks for sharing! I am not a jet boat guy but do run a smaller 23' with a Blown well built 502 but its an I/O, very enjoyable boat! Can I ask a couple questions, the last boat to make this run both up and down stream was a turbine wasnt it? Certainly no V-8 sound that I could hear? When you trim a Jet boat is it the same as on like my boat where you trim till you get the attitude that you like and run with that, or is there a more Data based reason? I noticed a lot of these boats really had different attitudes on the water and was just wondering why? Thanks again for sharing looked like a great race!
Thank you! It was a turbine powered boat, they all have very small nozzles with what I believe to be known as a droop snoot. They have no trim on the nozzle it’s self but use trim tabs to adjust attitude. The front wings are also controlled by the pilot to keep the boat as far as possible out of the water to reduce drag. I had the opportunity to be a navigator for the #12 A class boat a month ago…what a ride!
@@Bennyx0531 thanks much for the explanation Michael, those turbine boats sure don't sound as awesome as the V8s but the HP they pack for the weight of that engine must be incredible! Thanks again Michael, keep the great vids coming they are a pleasure to watch!

Why are only American turbine pumps installed on boats? Where is Hamilton, Scottjet? Do not withstand the power of engines?
