Albert Mohler's preaching is "Out of This World"! His preaching always is a strong mental exercise for me, because I usually listen to him in the early morning. My brain has to seeped-up to stay with what he is saying. The truth he speaks here is responsibility for us, no matter what the world has to say, to go speak the Lord's words to those around us with compassion, love and an urgency to help others escape Hell. He is correct; it is a matter of life and death. Thank you Dr. Mohler!!
Now in 2020, we have gone at warp speed. In 2014, hearing the marriage laws changed.... so man can marry man.... and women can marry women, against GOD'S ordinance of marriage between one man and one woman. It was eye opening for me. I knew something had changed. Nothing was going to be the same.
Sagan, like Hawking, and David Attenborough, did so much to normalize the myth of big/bang evolution, aka the "you are meaningless dust, here for a second then vanishing to nothing - isn't it wonderful!" religion. This religion has proved remarkably popular, for some strange reason. People seem prepared to accept such a dark view of their lives if it means they don't have to be sinners. Now that sin and shame are mere "neuroses", it shouldn't be a surprise that the full gamut of human experience has been classified as "mental illness", with a vast array of medicines to 'treat the symptoms". As a direct result, the foolish "wise men" of the living dead are going into all kinds of logical nonsense to justify why anyone should act morally or listen to authority, given such a religion. They even created new "gods": "Mother" Nature, for example, and "scientific fact". These new "gods" have no moral doctrine, though, so the sad conclusion is that we should all have no more children and work out how to kill off most of humanity to "save the planet", and create robots instead - the new "priesthood" of the IT industry ready to take charge in the "brave new world". Thank God I'm saved! I still find it amusing whenever some atheist or "scientismist" tries to "convert" me to such a dark, depressing religion - and they always leave completely angry and depressed at the possibility that the truth might not be in them after all. It isn't really their fault, though - they have just been conditioned to see theory and materialism as absolute truth, while seeing divine authority and revelation as superstition or ignorance. The grand tradition of education, around for hundreds of years, has been ruined - people are now "taught" to simply swallow what they are told, not how to reason, research and determine one's own position. No history, no reason, no logic = no truth. PS, history does not mean just "dating" bones or digging up pottery, contrary to popular myth. Another tragic result of the elevation of specialists and dismissal of generalists is that archaeology, geology and paleontology are considered to be the only determinants of history. Part of the "scientism" of the age, I suppose.
Dr. Mohler's sermons always have the qualities of depth and clarity that are need in the Christian church today.
Thank you for sharing these videos. May our great, good, glorious Lord bless you and yours.

Out of the world as a citizen, into the world as an invading soldier with terms of surrender.
