Last time landing there was 1977. We had checkered board tails on our KC-135A’s back then, 1-year later SAC made us remove them. The best Fish and Chips...
I was stationed at RAF Chicksands from 92-94.....we would make "food runs" to Mildenhall for Popeyes chicken....(it was a distance) but our CO approved, moral purposes
Super approach/landing into Mildenhall. Great team work for a smooth landing.
Male driver.
@2:40 you passed over my house. I love watching you guys . Thanks for posting.

Nice landing! Congrats!
Nice, making it look easy!
Excellent right seat manual landing, a sign of a high time pilot

Always great to see a lady in the left seat safe flights for you guys with those old airframes. Probably much better than the Pegasus
the Only time I came close to getting motion sick was landing in Mildenhall on a cloudy rainy windy day!!
there's a specific reason for turning the control column to the right after touchdown?
Crosswind control after touchdown. If you let the controls out as soon as you touchdown it’s possible to strike an engine on the ground.
"Pretty sure I can take him out." Air Force baby!
Just your typical 60 year old-plus aircraft making it look easy
Is it true that Mildenhall has really bad crosswinds?
Yup. Almost always a crosswind and often they are quite strong (15-20mph or more)
Wow wow amazing
Rt seat Lt Col fighting the acft?
He's a Major
@@cq7562 You are right. I stand corrected.
In what way was he 'fighting the acft'?
Tankers need that much tweaking on landings. Best jet ever.
Does England even have a military anymore?
NOT a Navy landing! ;)
