- More than 1,000 paintings were seized and eight people face a total of 40 charges resulting from a years-long police investigation into the forgery of artwork by Anishinaabe artist Norval Morrisseau.

I met Norval's son Christian Morriseau, he was my cellmate back in 20(something) I can't remember when exactly, but he was mourning due to his loss of his son in Murder Bay who was one of the 7 youth's who lost they're lives while attending school. Christian told me about his Cousin who he didn't want to say his name but spat on the floor by a thought of him. I hope Chris continues to carry his Father's legacy of Woodland Art
