Phnom Penh is getting a PUB STREET?! Major Changes to the Downtown

- Phnom Penh is getting its very own Pub Street. The downtown riverside area will be getting a makeover with new sidewalks, green spaces, and walkways. The Governor of the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh (that's a mouthful) announced that a 57 hectare area would be pedestrianized after 6PM everyday, starting at the end of the year. Siem Reap's Pub Street is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Cambodia, so it will be interesting to see how this affects tourism in Cambodia's capital.
I'm headed down to the soon-to-be revitalized area to get a sense of how big it is and what each area currently encompasses.

Ryan you make me want to go back home to Cambodia very badly finally i declare for my retirement at the age of 66 years old but the problem i have to wait for my wife to turn 60 years old but right now she's only 56 years old now i have to wait for her turn 60 to collect ccp and use her rrsp and we pack the stuff and go Cambodia my beautiful country my birth country Cambodia I'm going to stay in Cambodia from November to March and April we will fly back to Canada to see my childrens and grandchildrens take care bye from milton Ontario Canada by the way the weather in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 is very nice now

I heard that local governments have received many complaints about noise (music) that some restaurants/business make in their neighborhood especially during evening to night time. so the governmenr decided to put all of those business in one place in the hope to minimise issue in Phnom Penh and at the same create new attraction for thr city. I am not 100% sure how they operate, I think they only turn the areas into a pedestrian street between 6pm to 11pm, vehicles are allowed outside that hours.
I guess someone realized Phnom Penh is losing out to Siem Reap with its Pub Street being such a major attraction for tourists.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm all for increasing green spaces. The recent heat wave is evidence for their need.
I am in need of some advice though. I'm unsure of how to take care. I have no hair! 🥺 😄
