Making of Princess Jasmine's Costume - Disney's Aladdin 2019 (Live-Action)

At the beginning of 2019, I decided that I was going to try reconstructing Princess Jasmine's peacock dress costume from the live action Disney movie Aladdin (2019). For video diaries on construction, the playlist is • Aladdin 2019 - Making ...
Started in April and finished in September, this costume consumed most of my life outside my real-life! I smashed bits and pieces of the footage I had gathered of me making this costume and combined it into this video montage, complete with final photos at the end! Hope you enjoy!

You're quite welcome. Seeing the sheer amount and quality of your work is inspiring. I had been wondering what it would take to create a garment with such detail and really had no clue where it all begins. I am so thankful that you were willing to share your process as well as your finished garment. I'd easily value it at $50k, though I'm no couturier or fashion connoisseur.
@@thecurator2626 I have no idea of its value since I didn't keep track of materials or labour time, but if it helps, it definitely was at least a few hundred dollars for materials, and took roughly 6 months to make!

Absolutely gorgeous. I only cringed when you pulled out the plastic zip-ties to use in the corset.
Haha well it's the only option in my country.. we don't have a corset supplies store, even online unfortunately. Shipping from international countries is a fortune so cable ties it is! I also feel a lot better using cable ties because it doesn't matter if I make a mistake - it's cheap and easily replaceable!

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't remember the titles of the music. It's just music from TH-cam's free music audio library - if you search for different genres you can find a tonne of music. I usually search "calm" or "happy" for the mood and look through that list.
Alicia Estelle nope. I spent several hours going through every single track in Happy, Calm and Bright, and couldn’t even find the first track, which I would to have loved to have expanded and purchased if I could have found the artist. 😞

Please make Elsa's frozen 1 (let it go) dress if possible. I have seen it so many times and most of them are not like the movie
What materials did you use to make the accessories?
For the tiara and hairpieces I used EVA foam and the necklace and earrings were bought and then painted.
