I was thinking the same thing. Also it seems like this game doesn't force you to discard the faceup cards when there are 3 matching colors. I feel like it makes it a lot easier to set up large gray tracks.

The XBLA version of this was crucial to my college years and became such a key cog in developing lifelong friendships. Basically, I love this game and this makes me happy. Rock on.
This game is so f....in addictive :D My friends showed me the boardgame version of it. We played a lot but in honesty the virtual version is even better. More time efficient and you do not have to buy tons of board games just download the dlcs.

You guys are the LEAST Aggressive players of this game i have ever met. Whenever i played this game in the past, almost everyone is constantly going "Where might he be going? If you take that half and i take this half, we can block him!" Not a single attempt at malicious blocking, only accidental, the entire game? xD
Actually building train tracks is not what you’re doing, though it does seem to be a common misconception. According to the official rules you play as a group of friends competing with each other to see who can travel to the most cities by rail. It doesn’t really matter but I thought I’d point it out.

Just started watching this series and it’s my first time seeing this game. But why does it have Duluth, mn when it’s going to the twin cities, St. Paul and Minneapolis? There are literally three other names for that location.
Collect cards to put out trains to claim a route. You gain points by making routes based on the route's size: 1 = 1 point, 2 = 2pts, 3 = 4pts, 4 =7pts, 5 = 10pts, 6 =15 pts. You start with Destination cards which give you points if you make those points connect. Unfinished Destinations are negative points. Bonus 10 points for the longest connected route at the end. One action per turn: draw 2 cards, claim a route, or draw more destinations. If you draw 2, you can take face up or from the deck. Face up Wilds count as 2, so you can't take a face up Wild after taking a normal card. Most points wins.
We've played the physical IRL board game a number of times in the past, but I'll admit we must have always played with a handful of house rules that did not translate to what we expected in the digital board game. Sorry if we seemed like dummies!
Love your channel and the comedy between each of you is fantastic...HOWEVER, please learn how to play a game *before* you put out a video of you playing it. It was cringe-worthy, frustrating and annoying to watch you guys not understand that you can EITHER draw cards OR place trains when the video started. I almost had to shut it off. Here's a thought...take 30-seconds and read the (very few) rules first! Brilliant!!
I simply can't understand why everytime a streamer or TH-camr plays a simple game like this they're always obnoxiously loud and overreact to everything that happens, it's kinda off putting.. ngl

Houserule where you draw cards AND put trains down ? Man that really changes the entire flow of the game. Glad i never played with that houserule

Official rules only state that you clear the board when there are 3 locomotives, not just 3 matching cards.

You can take a turn to look at three new tickets and you can keep 1-3 of them
