Mostly neither, I usually just forget to use it 99% of the time. Due to how easily abusive it can be in this game I probably also just decided not to use it since everyone else is making it look bad. I really should use Perception more but I think it's because the follow-up to the counterattack doesn't even do much, therefore I'd rather keep my opponent close to deal damage than use Perception & give them a potential escape card. It isn't my way of playing but that's not a reason for my not using it.
@ very true! the follow-up after you successfully landed a perception allows the other dude to perception just as easily. it is very easy to use and abuse. I feel they should make it where you would have to time it but thats a far reach even then. Much love bro, I fw your vods and streams heavily!
@@THEGrandMasterHawk I’m in that same boat Hawk I be forgetting about perception all the time even when people are spamming it in my face…heck I even gotta constantly remind myself you can do super counters in this game lol. Even after all these years I still have muscle memory and habits from the RB games that’s holding me back
Hawks what would you improve about the game now? Do you still have hope for this game as far as updates making it better and making you more interested in comp? Me personally the step in barrier needs a huge adjustment and more freedom and fluidity. Also that lil animation that cost 1 bar from perception needs to be completely removed it’s too spammable and takes away momentum from the game unnecessarily imo. Descened and ascending needs a speed buff. Dragon dashing should not be 2 ki bars and should be 1 and a half due to how huge these stages are. Perception should work as it did in bt3. I think if they made these changes the game would be a lot more like bt3 and enjoyable. It doesn’t need to be comp as far other fighting games but I just want the mechanics to closer to the original games as much as possible. I honestly think we will head in that direction and I think the devs just got rushed with launch time and hear the players cries for the change
I've said this before, the game has limitless potential to be the game EVERYONE can enjoy for the next decade w/ an evolving meta & gameplay mechanics that are subject to change. Fixes; - Perception spam; make it so that the player gets locked into their first Perception or give it a cooldown - combo dropping & whiffing, especially via model collision - auto Dragon Dash recovery - implement better recovery options when being smashed away from a fully charged smash or Perfect Smash - make Super Counter 2 frames instead of 4 - remove ability to spam Super Counter - remove being able to Sonic Sway if you press block while you & your opponent are attacking each other & make it so that you attempt to counterattack instead like it was in Tenkaichi 1 to 3 - remove being able to vanish Rush Ki Wave if you get hit by the first wave - remove the feature of every single character having super armor when in Sparking mode along w/ ki deflect (too many characters have this when they shouldn't). ZBD requiring 2 ki gauges now is not a terrible thing but it's better than how Tenkaichi 3 was. 2 ki bars for ZBD is good since it'll force the player to use their braincells.
@@THEGrandMasterHawkngl i agree with all these changes. It would make the game damn near perfect. The only thing i disagree with is your take on ZBD. If it’s going to cost that much then dragon dashing should go through fully charged ki blast. I think stages are too large for it to cost 2 I think 1 and a half is the perfect cost
i notice you dont use perception alot, sometimes not at all. Do you find no use for it or its just not your way of playing?

It be like that sometimes. xd
Couldn’t join the stream live but I enjoyed the vod and content. Keep the SZ content coming if you’re up for it as I know you don’t enjoy the game.
