I got this stuff after seeing your video. It actually worked!
Shower drain was clogged solid with hair, about an inch of water. After about 55 minutes the water drained out of the tub.
It’s the first product of any I used in the past that actually did what it promises.

Pure lye works the best against hair. Which is one, watered down, Ingredient in drain cleaner. If you know it’s hair, you can buy pure lye for cheaper.
An acid based cleaner will be best for grease.

My bathtub drain went on strike and would not drain. It took several hours for two inches of water from taking a shower to finally make it past whatever clog was in the line. I filled the tub thinking maybe the pressure would blow it out. Nope! Then I poured boiling water in the drain. Nothing! It sat for several days while I used the shower in the other bathroom. Then I went to Home Depot. I asked the employee if liquid drain cleaners worked or not. He handed me a bottle of Instant Power and told me it was the best. I poured the entire bottle down the drain at 7:00 this morning and went to work. Tonight I remembered what I had done and poured a six quart pot of boiling water down the drain. (No plastic drain parts) It disappeared. Then I turned on the water and let it run for a couple of minutes. It drained in just a couple of seconds. A cheap ten dollar fix without too much effort. Thanks guy at Home Depot. I've lived here for 18 years and never had an issue with clogged drains. It was probably an accumulation of hair and soap scum build up. I highly recommend this product.

I am a superintendent, I use this on vanity sinks and tubs, works on organic materials only, but works every time on hair clogs. Warning do not leave on the surface of for more than over night. It will eat the gel coat completely off of a tub down to the fiberglass. I told someone to rinse it out in the morning and they forgot about it for 5 days.

Just gave this a try after doing everything I know how to, to get a deep nasty bathroom sink clog. It worked wonderfully just as everyone in comments expressed. I used half the bottle and waited a few hours and then poured the rest of the bottle before midnight and let it sit over night. Poured boiling water down (even with some pvc pipes) followed by lukewarm water to prevent any possible damage by the boiling hot water. Everything is flowing just like new. Thanks for the video!

The worse the blockage, the more time it needs to do it's job sufficiently. You may need to pour more than what's recommended to get the job done right, as well. To get the most out of the product, let it do it's job, undisturbed, for 6-8 hours. The longer it's in the pipes, the more crap (literally and figuratively) it should dissolve.
There's a variety of Instant Power products on the market. I was told by an Instant Power representative that the most potent version is the _Instant Power Hair & Grease._ (The one he has in this video) It can be bought at Home Depot, etc.
I've used it and it succeeded in unblocking the pipes. It was actually recommended to me by a plumber. He told me he's used this product many times with success. The reviews on the product are very positive, as well.

My bathtub drain is clogged & a musty odor comes out of it when I turn the water on. I read that the musty odor is actually mold spore gases & they are very dangerous. I have Toxic Mold Illness & I am extremely hypersensitive to mold & mold spores. I get very sick when I'm around mold or spores. I have been to the ER many times because of it. If I try to take a shower or even go into the bathroom, I become ill. Is mold stuck to the hair or is mold stuck to the sides of the drain ? Will Instant Powder clean out mold ?

Bobbi Van Eman hello there- I saw your concerns and not sure if this will (did?) work for your particular concern. A Very mellow and relatively safe solution that I would employ on mold/fungus in a drain, would be a mixture of 8oz of borax dissolved in hot water (~8-16oz). Add to the dissolved borax/water, 16oz of white vinegar. Pour this solution down the drain as many times as you like. Although it is something you want to keep off your skin, it can be rinsed off easily and won’t harm you or anything else. Put this same solution in with laundry to eliminate musty mildew odors. Very versatile with MANY uses. Especially for a person suffering from your condition. I hope this helps and I’m sorry and surprised you’ve not heard of this before. Good luck and take care

My bathroom sink was draining slower and slower every day. I took off the P trap and ran a 25 foot snake to the end. Reattached the drain pipes, and it was clogged completely. Ran the snake again using the drill attachment, slowly in and out for like 30 mins. Still completely clogged. Used this product overnight and Viola! Sink drains like a champ again. I did pour the product right into the gooseneck pipe, not down the sink stopper opening. Seems good for now.

I was experiencing an extremely bad clog in my upstairs bathroom. I had used other drain cleaners to no avail. I went to Lowe's (they do carry this product in the store near me) and thought "what the heck?!" Because the clog was horrific, I decided to do an overnight cleaning. I put almost 33 ounces in the drain at 2100 hours, last night, and 0900 hours this morning I poured approximately two quarts of boiling water down the bathroom drain. I waited approximately two minutes and turned on the faucet, the water drained perfectly!! It real does work. However, since this is an upstairs bathroom I am going to do the same thing tonight for the downstairs bathrooms, making sure that the drains are completely opened. Then I will do monthly maintenance such as Rid X or some other drain maintenance.

I just bought it at Lowes today.. April 2024, in Colorado.. could be different in your location. The point is, my house was built in 1955.. that means I have galvanized drainage pipes going into cast iron sewage pipes.. The product is very corrosive and can eat through all materials (and plastic such as PVC pipe) The bigger point is, be careful when using this product. It will DEFINITELY clean a clog.. But also understand it can destroy your drainage pipes in the process. Use this product as instructed on the packaging.

I was thinking about use a milder drain cleaner as a month preventive measure, from now ,onwards .

My bathroom sink has a bad clog. I pulled out the tubing from underneath the sink and all was clear. Looks like the clog is somewhere in the piping behind the walls. Went to Home Depot and got me a bottle of this and poured the whole bottle in my bathroom sink. Lol I'll update in 24hrs. Hope it works!

Best to use a funnel and pour directly in the drain,
That stuff is highly corrosive and it will tarnish any chrome surface,
It’s probably a whole bunch of hair clogging that drain,
    Just a wild guess 😁

NEVER use crystals. Crystals are for plumbers who know what they are doing. Crystal drain openers can actually solidify making the problem far worse. It happened to me.

@@RealRivalDieHard A snake is a flexible coil-like thing ranging in size from 1 to 100 ft. that is used to clear clogs from pipes. When it's being used most will say that they're "snaking the drain". These snakes can be hand-operated (for the smaller lengths) or machine-assisted for longer lengths.

Our issue isn't clogs, but our bathtub and bath sink develop this horrid, putrid stench about once every three months. Natural concoctions like baking soda and vinegar don't do jack. Usually, bleach works and for persistent odor, we use Drano. This time, the store was out of the usual Drano gel that we use so we got Drano Balance (4 bottles, 2 bottles per drain) = NOTHING. Did not work.
We are on our way to Home Depot now to get something "industrial strength." Ugh...I can't breathe.
