Ive been waiting for new tron merchandise for 12 years and disney has made up for every year. This merch is so damn cool! I could see myself easily spending 1,000 dollars plus here
I hope that later on they make a TRON/GRID themed magic band+! I would definitely rock that if that ever becomes a thing!
Update: There is gonna be a TRON Magic Band, but it's the Magic Band 2 model!! :0

They obviously do not have the rights to the robots, even more so because they have disbanded. Although, real fans might notice the nod to guy-man's helmet as one of the template heads for the identity program figures
Wow! I really like this merchandise line! Disney did a really nice job with it! The action figure thing looks really cool, but I don’t think I will get it because I have a stutter and I don’t think the voice record feature would work for me. The Identity Disk and Flynn’s Arcade shirt are my favorite things they have!

Can you not have a more 'in-depth' video on the Lights N' Sound Helmet? As in its 'lights n' Sound features? Or is this just a dud prototype for display?

Maybe its just me I feel a bit let down by this. I love Tron, but most of this feels like recycled merch ideas with a new skin. The figures are just like the Navi create a figure from Avatar (Also the figure looks very cheap). The Identity disk is just a circular lightsaber. I mean I don’t know what I expected or what I really wanted, which is really just a me thing, but with Tron idk I expected to be a lot more blown away by the merch. Maybe they should have just leaned heavier into the cyberpunk aesthetic more neon light products, crazy futuristic accessories, none of this feels like something I’d find in the real world of the grid. Just typical Disney merch.
While I agree with the new skin on other ideas. I do think it is all very well integrated the moving face and talking feature is from the deluxe figures for Tron legacy, which is a really cool thing to see! I don’t necessarily see the cheapness of the figures as you say, I feel the plastic will be similar quality to the avatar figures. Which while using a lot of the same tech and ideas. I don’t think this feels out of place and for someone like me who is very into figure collections I love seeing it expand! I’ve said for years I’d love them to use the same tech to be able to make yourself into a ghost in momento Mori! Make it a ghost mirror and you see your ghost seperate and you can customize outfits and all. I love bringing you into the merch and I would like some more in universe elements, but the intractability is really great and can grow I’d love if they design and shirt or jacket that can hold the disk and will read the same chip allowing you to glow your assigned color!

Maybe eventually but probably not and not at first for sure.

A little too much marketing-speak in the presentation (“Tron Identity Program Ecosystem”?!?) but some cool looking stuff there. While the aesthetic of the ride is clearly based around Tron: Legacy, I was glad to see some Flynn’s Arcade shirts and “classic Tron” light cycle toys available for purchase.
