Apply medium pressure to scrotum by cupping with your hand. If someone can rub you lower back, it offers some minor relief. Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevate. Hope the pain goes away quickly and you have no permanent damage. And be prepared to be teased about it later by your friends, when they know you're okay.

SOME injuries to the testicles have pain that diminishes within an hour. Not all. It depends if the testicles are bruised, swollen or otherwise badly damaged. It can take several hours, days or right up until surgery sometimes.

The injury could have been a blunt force or twisting injury. I wasn't close enough to see. All I know is the other wrestler managed to injure this boy's testicles by putting his hand between his legs to lift and flip him. I also wasn't close enough to hear the conversation between the injured boy and the girl who helped him. Had I heard what he told her, I might know the nature of his injury and be able to pass it along. I was hoping to potentially learn a new first aid technique that may or may not come in handy.
A couple of years ago, I was helping someone move. They guy that was helping me with it decided to use dolly ramps for everything (even when we were carrying and not using the dolly). Well... It was a rainy day and there were no treads on the ramps. Whilst carrying an 85-90 lb TV stand up the ramp, my feet slid out from under me. I watched in slow motion as the corner of the TV stand went like a homing missile right at my tender bits. Still in slow motion, I felt the corner of the stand work in between the boys and tilt to make full contact. The sudden adrenaline rush I received sent the stand flying about 20 feet away from me (after the other guy got it off of me). What came next was intense. The only thing I remember from the next 15 minutes was that I literally saw red. When the adrenaline ceased it's helpfulness, I was met with a pain that can only be described as being groped by a silverback gorilla holding a cactus in it's hands while another silverback is punching me in the stomach and the back. After that pain "subsided", I then felt a throbbing sensation that can only be described as an out-of-body experience. The throbbing was so intense, I felt it in my ears and could smell my heart beat. Forward on to a couple days later when my golf balls were the size of cantaloupes, I finally decided to leave the bed. That was a HUGE mistake. Standing up and trying to walk was so painful that I nearly passed out, and almost hit my head on the night stand. After not moving for a couple more days I started to move around. I wasn't right for about a month and would have gotten a scholarship to the "School of Silly Walks". Long story not-so-short, I will poop out a kid long before ever experiencing that again. The only caveat to the whole situation is that the other guy felt so bad about what had happened, he gave me a bucket of KFC as a peace offering the next day. Just remember ladies. Women will say "I want to have another kid." You will never hear a guy say "You know, I think I want to get hit really hard in the nuts again."

Very interesting to understand why the kidneys hurt. I know it causes intense kidney pain. When I was in 4th and 5th grade I had a older group of kids that would grab me from every limb and spread my legs running into the school flag pole. It happened once a week for over a year at l was small but stout for my age after the first few times I learned to stay relaxed and not fight until my feet was too the pole. Then I could "normally" twist my legs fast enough they could not respond and my knees took the bulk of the blow. I am 48 now I just had my 3ird stricture surgery I have a bladder that don't empty well if I do not pass a cath everyday I get an infection like I have now. So my lower part of the bladder don't empty and the top half I cant hold so I am incontinent and I have IC "interstitial cystitis" very bad that cause a lot of the OAB. I do not know if this caused this or could the strictures I am sure. I had my first removed at 19 and I had two large ones. But the ic and loss of bladder control started in middle school a few years later and just got worst. I have had 1000s of UTIS in my life in the hospital 3 times this year for UTI. Can repeat injury especially in adolescence cause any of my symptoms? Also I have Vegus nerve damage / issues that make me drop like a rock if I jump up to fast. plus I am blessed with gastropareses from the nerve damage.

The worst I ever got hit was when someone accidentally dropped a wrench off the top of a truck and it landed on my balls as I lay on the ground under the truck. I almost blacked out. The duration alone makes birth more painful. I’ve had severe long term pain and it eats at you, turning minutes to hours. Imagine getting hit in the balls snd the pain lasted for 16 hours or more.
I refused to wear a cup until one day playing baseball I got hit in the nuts. After pathetically dropping to the ground and curling up in a ball for the next half an hour, unable to move, I swallowed my pride wore a cup from then on. It is the most painful thing I've ever experienced. It hurt more than being on fire. The pain shot from my testicles through my entire body. A doctor should not find it amusing, Dr, Malik. From the women I've talked to, they believe that childbirth is not as painful as getting hit in the testicles, either, after hear and reading of men's experiences.
When I crashed my motorcycle, my testicles hit the gas tank full force. Bruised on the outside and still a have very sensitive area about 10 years later.

I'm on week 20 of pain in my scrotum cause from impact. I've been to 2 urgent cares a radiologist and a urologist and they all tell me everything looks fine....everything is not fine. It's increasingly harder to want to stay alive and deal with this. I need an end. To the pain or to me, one or the other.

A girl who was on his team walked over to him and bent down to speak to him. She went behind him, put her hands under his armpits and bounced him up and down a few times on his butt. (She was much larger than him.) She went in front of him and said something then went back with the rest of the team. This boy promptly got up and walked over to continue the match. What did this girl do? Could it have helped? (It appeared to.)
Note: This was at a time when girls were just beginning to appear on wrestling teams. They weren't allowed to wrestle boys. Having no match to worry about is likely what freed this girl to do first aid.

The injury could have been a blunt force or twisting injury. I wasn't close enough to see. All I know is the other wrestler managed to injure this boy's testicles by putting his hand between his legs to lift and flip him. I also wasn't close enough to hear the conversation between the injured boy and the girl who helped him. Had I heard what he told her, I might know the nature of his injury and be able to pass it along. I was hoping to potentially learn a new first aid technique that may or may not come in handy.
Childbirth is no where near as painful as getting kicked in the nuts. It just lasts a LOT longer.

A couple of years ago, I was helping someone move. They guy that was helping me with it decided to use dolly ramps for everything (even when we were carrying and not using the dolly). Well... It was a rainy day and there were no treads on the ramps. Whilst carrying an 85-90 lb TV stand up the ramp, my feet slid out from under me. I watched in slow motion as the corner of the TV stand went like a homing missile right at my tender bits. Still in slow motion, I felt the corner of the stand work in between the boys and tilt to make full contact. The sudden adrenaline rush I received sent the stand flying about 20 feet away from me (after the other guy got it off of me). What came next was intense. The only thing I remember from the next 15 minutes was that I literally saw red. When the adrenaline ceased it's helpfulness, I was met with a pain that can only be described as being groped by a silverback gorilla holding a cactus in it's hands while another silverback is punching me in the stomach and the back. After that pain "subsided", I then felt a throbbing sensation that can only be described as an out-of-body experience. The throbbing was so intense, I felt it in my ears and could smell my heart beat. Forward on to a couple days later when my golf balls were the size of cantaloupes, I finally decided to leave the bed. That was a HUGE mistake. Standing up and trying to walk was so painful that I nearly passed out, and almost hit my head on the night stand. After not moving for a couple more days I started to move around. I wasn't right for about a month and would have gotten a scholarship to the "School of Silly Walks". Long story not-so-short, I will poop out a kid long before ever experiencing that again. The only caveat to the whole situation is that the other guy felt so bad about what had happened, he gave me a bucket of KFC as a peace offering the next day. Just remember ladies. Women will say "I want to have another kid." You will never hear a guy say "You know, I think I want to get hit really hard in the nuts again."

Very interesting to understand why the kidneys hurt. I know it causes intense kidney pain. When I was in 4th and 5th grade I had a older group of kids that would grab me from every limb and spread my legs running into the school flag pole. It happened once a week for over a year at l was small but stout for my age after the first few times I learned to stay relaxed and not fight until my feet was too the pole. Then I could "normally" twist my legs fast enough they could not respond and my knees took the bulk of the blow. I am 48 now I just had my 3ird stricture surgery I have a bladder that don't empty well if I do not pass a cath everyday I get an infection like I have now. So my lower part of the bladder don't empty and the top half I cant hold so I am incontinent and I have IC "interstitial cystitis" very bad that cause a lot of the OAB. I do not know if this caused this or could the strictures I am sure. I had my first removed at 19 and I had two large ones. But the ic and loss of bladder control started in middle school a few years later and just got worst. I have had 1000s of UTIS in my life in the hospital 3 times this year for UTI. Can repeat injury especially in adolescence cause any of my symptoms? Also I have Vegus nerve damage / issues that make me drop like a rock if I jump up to fast. plus I am blessed with gastropareses from the nerve damage.

The worst I ever got hit was when someone accidentally dropped a wrench off the top of a truck and it landed on my balls as I lay on the ground under the truck. I almost blacked out. I vomited, peed a little, felt like I was gonna shit myself and straight up cried for about 30 min. I felt like my whole body was paralyzed with pain. -10k/10 wouldn't reccomend. I had a buddy that snapped his femur in a car accident and he was in so much pain they had to give him morphine. He said it still wasn't as bad as the time he sat on his balls super hard.

There are so many pain sensitive nerve endings in each testicles that every hit can hurt differently depending on which nerves are activated.
Needless to say it is very painful. I was struck during a training accident in the groin by a full force knee which sent me to the ER. I was black and blue down my legs and all the way up to my bell button.

The duration alone makes birth more painful. I’ve had severe long term pain and it eats at you, turning minutes to hours. Imagine getting hit in the balls snd the pain lasted for 16 hours or more.
I refused to wear a cup until one day playing baseball I got hit in the nuts. After pathetically dropping to the ground and curling up in a ball for the next half an hour, unable to move, I swallowed my pride wore a cup from then on. After that experience, I can't help but think the male body is a massive anatomical mistake, placing such sensitive parts without protection and completely vulnerable to hits and kicks.

There is a James Bond book in which he visits a dojo in which the students are stick fighting, including whacking one another in the crotch. The instructor explains that they have learned to voluntarily pull the testes up into the inguinal canal, which I find conceivable, and potentially more convenient than a cup. I had VV incident as med student delivering a fetus with resident. As the fetus was delivering, the mom delivered a large bowel movement. Sweaty, light headed, I knew was going down if I didn’t leave the cord in the hand of the resident. He came after and was very understanding.
