Probably both one of the best music, and best dance video on youtube right now, creating something that beautiful and that stirring with so little artifice is an impressive performance.
I love how they use Spike Lee signature dolly shot at the end. I don't think I've ever seen that dolly shot used backwards like they did in this video. Great video.
The formless fluidity of the vast waters of the unknown, and the moulding rigidity of what is defined, meet in the dance of evolution, creation of a new fruit [Nespole]. In William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, Apemantus forces a medlar [nespole] upon Timon: "The middle of humanity thou never knewest, but the extremity of both ends. When thou wast in thy gilt and perfume, they mock'd thee for too much curiosity; in thy rags thou know'st none, but art despised for the contrary. There's a medlar for thee; eat it".
Wow...i get an idea of something far deeper than what ive read so far...its quite literal...and what appears to be sadness at the end leads me to believe i may not be far off. Assimilation is death.
Yeah a bit huh? I was gonna say it reminds me of Oval tho. Love Floating Points, his stuff is right up my alley. Really glad he's keeping busy and I hope to hear more in the future.
Sorry, the first thing to notice is the fact to see a dancer with Latin Blood. But the music is sooo amazing that I cannot stand it. Greetings from Brazil!
It seems to me this may be interpreted to represent the yin and the yang. The yang side of the symbol which is white is the daytime and masculine, associated with control and order. The yang on the other hand is black and feminine, associated with the subconscious realm and chaos. The dancer first appears in white clothing, dancing in a way that seems robotic and rigid. Then she is challenged by another version of herself in black, fluid and free. Another point to reaffirm the metaphor is that both versions of the dancer are wearing shoes of the opposite colour, just like the dots in the original symbol. They are naturally attracted to each other and begin to move closer, only the break away to start again. This goes on forever within and without the individual.
Even when its explained it does absolutely nothing for me. In the end its choreographed body popping to illustrate an abstraction. This does not enrich my life, my body clock is still counting down.
+SCHMAC yes u r right!!! it's a shity song i think you should listen to justin beiber, paris hilton, avicii, drake, pauly d and david guetta's music, it's cool bro :D do u even music bro?
+The Ma5ter Mau5 Actually yeah I do music, all the time in fact. I'll be seeing Mono in December which I'm super excited about. Thanks for asking! Though I'm disappointed I never got to see Paris Hilton sing live, that would have been fkkn amazing.
This has to be one of the most boring songs Ive listened to in a long time and i listen to all forms of electronic music. Some of his other work isn't bad but this sucks.
I don't think you've gave some of his other stuff a good listen. I will admit I was a tad underwhelmed by a couple of his recent tracks but joined with the videos they are quite the experience in my opinion. Seriously tho listen to some of his older tracks like, Myrtle Avenue or ARP3. This track is pretty soothing to me, don't see how it's boring at all. Definitely something I can throw in a late night playlist and zone out to when it comes on unexpectedly. Listen to Oval's 94 Diskont if you haven't. It's a similar sounding electronic, ambient album and I fucking love it. To say some of his other songs are "not bad" just doesn't seem to do him justice.

+MOWUKIS WORD
+MOWUKIS cheers mate. I agree.
Man, can't believe this was 7 years ago. Life just keeps moving I guess.
I love the contrast in dance styles and how they both match the undulating rhythms in the song.
Q
I honestly come back to this video all the time. The song with the dance accompanied with the direction is just exceptional.
Fuck you're an arty piece of shi
Heaven forbid people appreciate art, William.
the way the dance moves synced to the track... pure art.
I didnt notice

They are Consonance and Dissonance.
+Chaotic Bliss -.-
So simple, so effective, both the music and the visuals.
dont usually comment on videos but this probably the best way of describing the floating points sound
Wow. That choreo is f* amazing. The contrast of movement along with the song. It gives me life!
hey! she stole my dance moves!
Lol
How god damn cool was that! Floating Points is the best thing I've heard for a long time.
thank you for this song.

Weird!❤
I thought it was so sad.
Is the recording correct? I have to raise the volume to near 100% to hear anything. I usually listen at 15%
+Benjamin Nyquist I think it's a little low.
brain and body dance music
the dancing was so weird but in the same time i feel like it was exactly what the music would look like if you could see it.
Digital Analogue Symbiosis
L'élan vital de Bergson
Does this remind anyone of The OA original series on Netflix? Please tell me I’m not the only one...
Apollonian and Dionysian
I see they went to the Thom Yorke school of expressive dance.
Sorry, the first thing to notice is the fact to see a dancer with Latin Blood.
But the music is sooo amazing that I cannot stand it. Greetings from Brazil!

Nice.. Could you interprete such tracks as: Bias, Karakul, Last Bloom, Apoptose, Problems?
it is a little sped up...note her hair, moving a bit too fast for nature. Otherwise I was just like "what?"
not speed up at all. All real time is just my movement
It's amazing...thanks
robbot
This reminds me of that kid dance battling that girl and trying not to smile
Union of the self. Shadow integration I think"

This is what it feels like, being a white guy trying to dance.
“Dancing”
Lol this sucks
this is weak
This song sucks a bit

I find this amazing... It puts me into a trance that takes me somewhere else. Reminds me of a couple OPN songs
Ugh
+IAN m I find this pretty amazing.
