Thanks to your vids, I've tried this build extensively on plugy these last weeks trying to achieve optimal survivability, because it's so fucking fun to play Wanted to share a couple points that might be useful to you. reaching 105 FCR with either godly +skill +10FCR rings (or more practically 20% FCR rings) magefist/arachnid is totally worth it. It drastically increases both damage and survivability. allows to completely disregard decrep as any sort of potential danger you can commit to 50% PDR with Vampire gaze, Verdungo/String of ears and Tancred hobnails while still retaining 63 FCR. Lightning pierce will be noticeably lower but with the constant static field proc it just werks anyway. maek/laek don't do much for me. Since this build has basically unlimited mobility, what really is dangerous for it is knockback leading to instant two shot death by phys damage. At 63 or 105 FCR and constant teleport, you avoid the vast majority of elemental damage without even thinking about it. So wondering why this character is still a bit of a glass canon, (limited gear choice, killer requirements for stormspire), I think the answer is actually using stormspire sockets to drastically lower requirements, and it's actually really really solid. If you put 3 hel runes, you can now reach around 2.2k mana / 1.1k life (silkweave/SoJ) with the 150+ additional points you can now put into energy + call to arms. With energy shield on, virtually nothing can 2-3-shot you. Since blade shield doesn't use weapon durability anymore, you can even go with an ethereal Stormspire and skip the zod. If you use an eth archon plate for innocence, you can get away with this build having like 66 STR and 46 DEX. And your attack rating will be worse but not completely gone either with cold enchant. I haven't tried combining this with max PDR gear but it's possible, I just don't find any use for it right now, I doubt this can go for solo dungeons and there aren't enough non-weapon sockets to get to a point where Rathma would be an option for this build. Edit : actually tried it and it allows to reliably run stygian caverns, the only map this build is really bad at. Probably the safest option all around : low req stormspire with extra points vitality / magefist / verdungo / vampire gaze / tancred hobnails / 20FCR rings and a FCR corruption somewhere else or dracul/arachnid. Still using energy shield on top because you don't need mana anyway Other considerations : I think Exile on the merc is kinda wasted because no matter how high your defense is, knockback is still dangerous Phoenix and redemtpion aura don't improve survivability Shattered wall is a decent choice, the freeze aura can make it easier to jump into dangerous groups if you wait for it to proc before doing it Dual dream (helm + shield) is the best option because the sheer damage is massive even on T3 Teleporting range on dangerous maps should factor in proc range to stomp on enemies which are currently in hit recovery animation (holy shock range from merc dual dream seems to help a lot with that). It can do easy tier 0 DClone with very minimal gear tweaks: 63 FCR / something with +% all max res, waterwalk (no golem) Anyway, thanks a lot for demonstrating this build, I've had a lot of fun playing it and trying to tweak it taught me quite a bit about this game Cheers
I treated this build for 2 months so my question is what is your goal? In my opinion it was a crazy fast t1/t2 mapper which could also comfortably do some t3s. But never a Rathma or clone killer. Strength and dex isn't really a problem if you add 1 - 15 REQ jewel into stormspire. You'll easily have 1400 health. In my (strong) opinion. Survivability isn't really an issue. With -55 light res + infinity +static you simply kill everything before it can damage you. Exile is important because flat defense is incredibly underrated. There is a huge difference if an enemy has a chance to hit you at 50% or 20%. Plus, exile gives you %PDR. With exile, PDR griffons and shadow dancer you will have nearly 20% PDR. Which is enough to teleport through double aura packs while being amped. Now getting back to LAEK. Without it you have zero sustain. But 16 is enough to have you never worry about using potions. Again, you simply kill quicker and replenish your life quicker than you can lose life. Tele stomping into a single mob pack gives you 200-300 life. Every single teleport. Which is also why I wouldnt go to the 105 break point. You need to teleport and wait have a second for all procs to go off. Charge bolt. Nova from merc. Static etc. If you just teleport through quickly you will get hit less, but your kill speed will also go down. If you really want to tweak survivability, then it's easy. Put 20 points into shiver armor and you'll sit at 20k defense or higher with a sacred armor. You chance to get hit will sit at 15%. And even then, you'll have enough PDR and curse res so that it doesn't bother you. Plus the LAEK which will replenish quicker than you can take damage. You might miss the damage from thunderstorm but 20 into shiver armor is the best way. You can also switch in a PDR fcr rare belt. Or fcr corrupted strings like you said. But it's overkill. I tried tweaking this build in every way, but damage trumps all. Shayd theory crafted a version which uses energy shield which makes you practically immune to physical attacks but leaves you vulnerable whenever you encounter lightning enchanted mobs. Last but not least, the biggest way to increase survivability is to put ferocity on your merc. Taunting enemies is highly underrated. Pretty much makes you immortal. But you will lose kill speed in t1/t2 maps. After making my infinity iron golem, I haven't died once. And that's with +100 maps. It simply doesn't happen if you are a good player and have the right gear. But if you find a better way then please make a video and share it. I anyway think that this build will not exist in s10 due to act 3 nerfs and possibly innocence nerfs.
@@mewdawn917 Oh the goal was to check out for fun just how much game content this build can do reliably without losing the golem, it's pure plugy specualtion, but it's shit you might find useful if you haven't tried it to see if there's more or different things you want to do with the build. I completely agree with its base nature as a perfectly reliable t1-2-select T3 speedrunner. I also agree with defense but if you run into some mobs like on throne of insanity or stygian caverns that deal physical damage while blowing up and knockbacking you, defense isn"t the stat for that, it's shit I tried while simply looking for gear that would make it "fit for every purpose" just for the hell of it. As for laek/maek, I completely agree with the use you'll get out of 10+ on t1 and 2 maps, but for t3, I think beyond say 6-6, lower req are much better for survivability than PDR focus, exile, or higher laek/maek on the maps you normally wouldn't want to reliably run (throne, cistern, sescheron, sanatorium, which are sadly among my favorite) because every rune gives you basically either 135 life or 200 mana (more with gear).
It definitely feels more efficient (almost like you are cheating haha) since you only need to teleport into monsters. I'm sure a GG nova sorc is much faster, but I've never had so much fun than with this build.

I like the griffons with curse res because it allows you to hit the 20 FCR breakpoint much easier with decrepify maps. So PDR + less fcr penalty is a bonus. Could also get PDR on BK ring etc.

How does stormspire proc if you’re not attacking? Isn’t the proc based “on strike”?
Innocence armor applies blade shield which can proc any striking affix.

Need more FCR for those maps with decrepify. Too annoying to get dropped a couple break points.

wanna play this build but cant get the items, if you dont need them anymore i would appreciate to get them :)
