    Great two-part tutorial Tammy. I actually sent an email to support suggesting they do a tutorial on audio effects in LumaFusion and then I came across your videos. You obviously have a background in sound and it shows in the way you presented this. Very helpful. Thank you.

      Hi Steve and thank you but no, I really don’t know that much about audio. Just the very basics.

    Nice two part set of tutorials. The pitch filter is handy for simulating a horn Doppler effect when using key frame with it. Thanks for putting this together!

      Thanks for watching! What’s a horn Doppler?

    • @azore321
      @azore321 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't describe it right. When you're on the roadside and a car rapidly drives by with its horn blaring, the change in pitch you hear from the horn as it approaches and goes by is the Doppler effect I was referring to. I used to hear it regularly when I was a kid riding my bike round the neighborhood..LOL!

    Thanks for these two videos. I have an audio where the wind was just too gusty, and at times the mic popped in the audio, making a pop/squeak type noise above a certain level. Can I just cut off that top part of the audio to get rid of that noise?

    Thank you so much for this 🙏🏼 I’m new to all this and you are helping me a lot. Do you or anyone else know why I don’t have that many options on my N Bands Equaliser in LF? I only have 20 hz - 20 khz bands but not the others you are able to modulate, like Bypass or Type…Not sure if I’m explaining it well 😅

    May you please do a video of how to correctly apply the Limiter? I can't seem to figure it out, when I listen to the video it doenst seem to be applying the limiter. Or maybe I'm not applying it correctly.

    • @tammysypniewski1891
      @tammysypniewski1891  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I missed this sorry. The limiter really isn't the best, it really only works on the gate, not so much the actual audio. Did you blow your audio? I just reviewed a new app now called Mauvio. Try it! It's amazing and fixes any audio.

    • @unpredictablelegacy3193
      @unpredictablelegacy3193 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tammysypniewski1891 No so what happens is while playing my Call of Duty game, when I start to shoot my gun it tends to get loud, everything else through the game is just right. So I wanted to apply the limiter so that whenever I shoot my gun, it controls it from getting too loud. I can manually do it by cropping those specific parts and turning down the volume. But it would take forever. But I'll give that app a try thank you so much.

    Basic audio editing in Luma isnt so basic at all, its more than enough. We have to remember golden rule here, Ipad and Luma give us a chance for simple yet powerfull and profesional editing on to go. Portable powerhorse, only few things are missing "for me" like zebras for example or denoise. There are other great apps for audio out there but are they really necessary? Fast editing, way faster than on PC in my case, decent output files makes my life way easier and Ive got time for other stuff or I can do more!

    Love it! Thank you so much! I have one question tho, when you speed up the video and maintain the audio at same pitch, I feel like the audio is heavily distorted in the process... any ways to fix / avoid that?

    • @tammysypniewski1891
      @tammysypniewski1891  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So normally when I use speed ramping in a video, it's for b roll purposes and I usually cut the audio out and just have music playing. You can always drop the audio from the video and leave it, if it's not necessary to match it with someone talking.

    Hi Tammy.
    I realize this video is over a year old, but if you do see this, I’m hoping you could help me with a problem I am having with a glitch in my audio. It is only a fraction of a second, but is annoyingly noticeable and badly placed. I’ve tried to cut it out, but it is right on an important word! I tried to record that word and replace the adulterated one, but the replacement doesn’t quite sound right.
    Can I tweak one of these settings to take care of this? Have you run into this problem before? I’m sure there is a fix, but I’m missing it.
    Thanks!

    • @tammysypniewski1891
      @tammysypniewski1891  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So there are times that I hear a glitch in the audio from the timeline but it doesn’t wind up in my final edit. Was it something you did in microphone or is it from the program? Export it to your cloud and listen to see if the noise is gone. If not you’ll just have to do a voice over.

    I would like to be able to use the Audio Limiter to limit the volume of all the clips, so that nothing goes above the green bar. Is there a way to do this? (Currently, I’m adjusting the volume of each clip individually, splitting clips when necessary.) Thank you for your LumaFusion videos.

    • @tammysypniewski1891
      @tammysypniewski1891  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. Ok, so when you bring the video clip in before you start to make cuts adjust your audio levels. Copy the audio settings onto your clip board and paste them to where you want on the following clips. The audio setting are for that particular clip and does not master the entire audio file. So if you want to pull down the volume, yes use the limiter for that and by sliding down that gain slider you can either decrease or increase the volume. Hope this helped.

    • @SherieAnnPeterson
      @SherieAnnPeterson 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tammy Sypniewski Does the limiter work by reducing the clips by a given amount of decimals or does it prevent it from going over a given volume? Thank you for your help. (My problem is that some people whisper and others have booming voices.)

    I think I know the answer to this question, but do any of these filters do anything to mitigate wind noise? I use a lot of GoPro video in Lumafusion and by its very nature, wind noise is unavoidable. I do my best with foam and dead cat on my mics, but I still have to deal with it.
