Hahaha, Loch Doon is very appropriate for our current covid situation in the UK! :D
Even when the weather is bad, a ride is still kinda awesome with scenery like this.
Hahaha, the castle was so impressive you went to see it twice! :D

Wonderful colours, those clouds looked ominous

Oh yes, indeed. Fortunately it was only a dense drizzle which came out of it but still really unpleasant.

The look of those dark clouds think you missed most of the rain but they do make for some really good footage. seen a video a few weeks back some guy from Belfast spent the night in a tent next to that castle thanks for sharing your trip

I missed most for sure, especially that we left hotel a 2 pm for a reason ;) and the reason was the rain to be frank :D I don't know why would anyone spend the night there though :)

I’ve recently discovered your channel and I am enjoying working my way through the videos. Great stuff , a bit different from other motorcycle channels which is good. I like the humour and I enjoyed the banter between you and Lukas it made me laugh.
I live in the midlands and enjoy riding into Wales. Hopefully this bloody lockdown will end soon. If you’re by Ludlow on the A4117 I recommend riding to the summit of Clee Hill for the view. It’s a strange place with old quarry workings and a radar station.
Smashing stuff. Thanks. Na Zdrowie! (Hope that’s correct)

I've been there once in Clee Hill, fantastic indeed. Glad you enjoyed the channel and all this nonsense ;) Na zdrowie was correct indeed :) Cheers.

Good to watch someone riding around my local roads. The twisty roads just before you turn off for loch Doon are awesome in the dry :)
Just as well that you turned around at the start of the offroad section at Loch Doon, as it was closed for 'covid' , and to get past the gates etc would have been really hard on your bikes. I managed it on a tenere 700, but it was slippery :)
Also. Did you know that Loch Doon is man made, and that the castle would be under the loch, but they moved the entire thing.

didn't know that ;) I think we did those twisty bits you meant in part 9. Brilliant place. You are the lucky one to live there

You need to get off road tyres for the W turn it into a scrambler 😆

    • @UncleLongbeard
      @UncleLongbeard  4 ปีที่แล้ว

I thought about buying another W and using some offroady suspension on it, but what you see on that trip is the limit for me. I won't go any deeper into the mud, and I still prefer the tarmac if only possible... and if the roads are empty ;) So... I don't know really, maybe I will do that one day but I won't turn this particular one into scrambler.

Nice video again, do you have any plans for some trips this year?
I plan a trip to Korsika or Sweden this year, if corona let me do it 😬.
    Stay safe 👍

After this lovely year I thought it will be fine in 2021 but I've got more and more doubts :( So, I stopped planning for a moment... My initial idea was to go to Ireland or(and) Pyrenees again but it's all unknown. Also financially I'm not sure how bad will it be, so it's difficult to plan anything. I know for sure that I won't be able to do any really long trips for now, which is quite sad as I really wanted to go to Greece and maybe even further. Trip to Korsika sounds brilliant buddy, let's hope it will work for you.

@@UncleLongbeard my plan also is to visit Ireland. I hope it will be possible.... Croatia - Ireland is about 2000 Eur 🤕... 🙋‍♂️🇭🇷

    • @UncleLongbeard

@@BrkicM-motoandvideo It's about the same distance as for me Greece. 3000km one way not even including any detours and fun roads... Not mentioning any exploring of the areas on the way... It's doable but to make it more sensible it requires 3 weeks at least if you don't want to spend a lot of stupid miles on the motorway. And quite a few pennies in your pocket but that could be limited with the tent and a lot of friends if you've got them living somewhere on the way :)
