- India's Covid caseload has risen sharply in the past few weeks.
The country's been reporting more than 150,000 cases a day. In January and February daily cases fell below 20,000.
So, how did India get from relative calm to its new crisis?
Workplaces, markets and malls have reopened, and transport is operating at full capacity. Big weddings, festivals and election rallies are also being held.
The result: a situation that one doctor described as a "Covid tsunami".

Here in south Africa we have malls that are full of people but they use masks. It's illegal here to not use your mask. But on the streets some don't use masks.

When I read that India was leading the world in vaccine distribution, I made a comment that they should vaccinate their own people first before selling vaccines to other countries. Many Indians came for me in the comment section, saying to mind my business... that India can take care of it’s own people. Now months later, the concerns I had for India has become the reality😭
The Serum institute has control over the vaccines. It's not completely controlled by the Indian government. Only production is happening in India, but the exports are not in our hands

I am an Indian too, and whenever any suggestions or comments are made from other countries, we become defensive, I see the comment section now seems a bit different, few months back when there was news on covid india by bbc,dw,cnn our internet army were up in arms telling everyone to mind at their own business and mocking at their statistics. This defensive and smug attitude is also in a way responsible for where we are now

My family followed all rules but ofc my father had to work so he had to go to the office where everyone took precautions, his friend who was VERY careless and didn't wear masks saying COVID won't come to him, he helped my family get it and my mother was in the hospital as COVID- 19 was in her lungs luckily she was discharged with ok health and now my sister, my father, my mother and me have been effected by one's stupid thoughts, don't be like him and make others suffer pls. Please do anything you have to do to make sure you won't get COVID or spread it, please.

Exactly the same situation. My father works in a manufacturing company. He was initially infected and have it to all of us. Half of our family was hospitalized but doctors and nurses took good care of us in Mumbai. We all are covid negative after 20 days.

My sister-in-law works in a hospital in Ahmedabad, and when I asked her what it's like she said "Imagine fighting a forest fire with a watering can". She is vaccinated herself, but I'm really worried she's going to completely burn out soon. She sees about 25-30 deaths a day. It's absolutely unsustainable.

I am from India and what I noticed when I went out for grocery shopping is that .. people wear mask but they only cover their mouth not their nose .. we can see it even in the video .

And even in busy areas, wards needed to be mostly shut-off in preparation for another wave of cases, or to convert a non-covid ward to a covid ward. In other words, you have no idea about patient flow or the dynamics of hospital care, and are just spreading misinformation.
This is just sad. It’s as if nature is trying to teach humans a few important lessons but most of us are just not willing to learn it 😞

Guys if you dont mind.. just based of my experience before i know i was Covid positive but i was isolating at my house only! 1-3 day i have sour throat in 4 days i feel back pain and until 5-6 days i cant smell anything even strong perfume i cant smell it until i feel it hard to breath i was panic that time but i was pray to our Living God Jesus Christ that heal me! Until something strange control my mind doing things:
First i boild water with salt then until it boild I moved to the basin and covered myself with a blanket as I breathed in the smoke of hot water for twenty minutes i do this for morning,afternoon and evening until i got sweat.
Second every morning 8 am to 9m I focus my back on the sun until I sweat!
Third i was eating hot soup and high of vitamins c vegetables and fruits!
Fourth i regularly take vitamins C or fresh fruits with high of vitamin C.until day 10-11 i feel comfortable and i breath well.And i notice something strange sticky form phlegm coming out of my throat and nose that seems to be pretty hard!did I keep thinking? Maybe this is the reason I couldn't breathe the other day so I continued to treat myself until I became strong and I didn't feel anything.I still isolate my self in my house day 20 to make sure that im already okay! Now im here still alive and thanks to my One and only LIVING GOD JESUS CHRIST for giving me a second chance and guide how to threat my self! I love you GOD JESUS CHRIST!🙏🙏❤️

What you had was definitely COVID but is of MILD one. home quarantine and symptomatic treatment is indeed the management... but for those who have severe symptoms.. hospital admission is needed.. if none at least admitted in a covid facility.. regardless of the symptoms.. consult with a doctor is still needed... self management is a nO no.

our government needs accountability about the incompetence they have during this time of pandemic. PH’s vaccine rollout is so slow, not to mention, they rely on private sector’s company to vaccinate their employers. most of our vaccines are donated, where is the transparency of the loan they took out, where is it spent? the leaders of our pandemic task force isn’t even lead by medical experts. the focus is too much on military. Filipinos are willing to listen to a leader that has a clear plan and we are willing to fight if there is a concrete plan laid out but there is none. there isn’t even a proper contact tracing. it’s not blaming, it’s accountability and responsibility.

I live in NewZealand and I am thankful of government for strict lockdown measures and citizen itself were very compliant and we had only 25 fatalities in one year and currently there is no single community case.
It takes a leader with guts and citizens who are united in complying, not divided. That’s why Taiwan and Vietnam were also successful...unlike America where diversity and division have been their biggest downfall.

I got covid in December, i’m 22 years old and considered myself healthy. I workout every three days, I’m not easily sick. I got covid because of my co-worker, and I promise you it was absolutely awful. I’ve never felt so out of breath, so freezing, every part of my bodies ached, i couldn’t move my neck left to right let alone lift my head. seeing crowded places and people sneezed haunts me.

I feel really stupid to know that I am going to college in 2 days to write my first semester exam, they told us to copy the answers from the books. What is the point in conducting the exams??? The same government warns about the rising situation. In my class except me, no one is wearing a mask and it's irritating to know that people don't understand the purpose of wearing a mask, masks protect us from getting infected and at the same time, it prevents the spreading and protects others from getting the infection unknowingly.
In India, the situation is getting worsen because of people's negligence in following any safety protocols. No one is wearing masks "properly". Know one is social distancing themselves.

😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. In contrast; organised mainstream religions are claiming that they have the authorities to do God works as leaders so on. 3) God is not capable of doing wrong thing, change the past for us and create anything out of nothing for us. Nothing means not anything. So, even God is limited. The mainstream religious people believe that God is unlimited then as God wishes/desires everything is happening so no evil/ no devil more powerful than God. 4) God wants us to take responsibilities for our righteousness life but not for all the consequences of our actions because they are continued to exist among us. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. The mainstream religious people are killing people and sacrificing animals in the name of God. They promote God's cruel punishments. The Punishment is endless for Sinners/Devil according to religious scriptures. But God is love always. Overcome hate with love. If all religions for peace, unity? No way. Because they are not for peace. 8) Well, The God gave us everything to go from moment to moment in our lives as we do our part and pray only to thank god then the Love is in progress. The Love is always for everyone. We are always worthy of the God's love. Our greatest fear is; not to be loved by anyone but we are all loved by someone. When we eliminate all our unnecessary differences among us then true peaceful life is possible with the true love. If we can't find the peace within ourselves then we will never find it anywhere else. 9) This is the Fight for independence and freedom of humanity to worship God freely without religious guide and guidelines to restrict us. In india still many schools are working as usual which cause many students to gather at one place . Also many religiuos gatherings are happening. There is no hope of decrease of cases by now.
They have kept schools open here in Florida & used distance between the desks, temperature testing, masks, individual water bottles, lunch in the classroom, no singing, no school assemblies and out on the playground each class staying only with their class and there has been few cases. Ones who have gotten it, reported it was from outside school gathers.
If they are not doing anything , then you must do it own your own to protect your health. Used facemask and face shield, also eat healthy foods and drink herbal medicine. Keep you immune systems healthy.
