@@joakimandersson7769 I'm talking about a game, simulating an actual weapon system I have experience with, creating similar tactical results/implementation strategies in game as they have IRL
I never even said killing, which wouldnt fit anyways because while HE is definitely lethal mortars are *overwhelmingly* a suppressing and harassment weapon system.
Besides the fact - *so what if I was*. It's a war based game, if I wanna share/compare real world experiences, killing comes with the territory my friend 😘

Wow I never realized just how good mortars are at tracking tanks. Makes me want to use the Peltast more!
Peltasts, when they were first introduced in war 61, actually used to have armor-piercing shells, as well as smoke, they could wipe out a tank in about 5-6 shots and basically disable AI from firing on satchel rushes.
@@MrEarlSwift Man, I'd love to get smoke back in the game. I loved the idea of the LAPC with smoke launchers.
You have to admire the Collies tenacity, as soon as those at guns lost their crew the entire team seemed to rush to try and save the guns. That counter attack was awesome and quick too

@@zanaduz2018 Yeah, but they're twice as expensive as the Peltast, use more fuel and carry less ammo... Some real armor is nice, but usually it's unnecessary for a mortar. So yeah, niche.
An armour column with a second column of mortar tanks behind them would have double the fire power to bear on the enemy
They weren't useless, just overpriced compared to the MHT counterpart.
It's just EASIER to use a regular tank, but mortar light tanks have some pretty amazing applications. It felt so good to finally get a warden mortar vehicle.

The collie rpg flank, that happened to me and a few other guys in some tanks. A truck pulled up behind us and out came a dozen collies with ignifists, instant death. Is there a clan or something doing this? This is why we have to build up our lines people
There’s a regiment called HMOOB that does guerrilla tactics to flank tanks with ignifist/stickys and cut logistic with mounted rpg LUV. They have their own encampment and everything. Moving map to map by stealing logistic supplies. Pretty crazy. Did a couple skirmish with them and having 90% successful rates with an 8 man team lol talk about guerrilla warefare

Im so surprised that theres actually windage you have to aim off center of your target to hit it. This is real mortar work. I wanna see a real veteran react to the logistics and gameplay of this MMO. I was in logistics as a water treatment specialist.

Nice work. SPUD needs to work on your flank security. Given that the Colonials will send QRFs just to attack you, you'd benefit from having at least one guy watching your back.

@moidawg Now, imagine if you had proper artillery tubes on those tank hulls instead of just mortars… 120mm SPGs would be amazing to see (150s would be even better, but would probably be broken as hell).

We really put on a clinic with these, and I had so much fun. It's like infantry sniping, you hit people when they think they are safe and that affects morale and decision making a lot.
