These are known as temporary, color "deposit only" glosses. The less one washes their hair, the longer they last. They are equivalent to semi-permanent hair colors that require no developer or activator at all--so NO: the results won't last long. For longer term results that are also good for the hair: all one needs is a 10Volume (3%) developer and any tube of permanent or demi-permanent hair color in Clear. ALL brands of professional hair color have a Clear option now. My favorite 10V developer now is Joico Lumishine and my second fave is Moroccanoil developer as both have argan oil. ANY developer will do and they are cheap! If you buy a 3 ounce tube of clear hair color and mix 1:1 developer to Clear it is SO much *cheaper than these ready-made bottled colors* . The 10v process will have healthy AND longer-lasting results, too! I give my hair a gloss treatment maybe once every two months. That's it. Mix the developer and Clear, apply to dry hair, wait 20-35 minutes, rinse, and done! ALSO: to refresh and add shine to existing color: just make sure to buy a hair color 2 or 3 shades lighter than your current color--safe for use on natural and color-treated hair. 💝

I haven’t tried the L'Oréal Glycolic Gloss or the Redken Acidic Color Gloss yet, but they sound really interesting. I’ve heard good things about both, especially for adding shine and keeping hair vibrant. I’ll definitely consider testing them out in the future and sharing my thoughts. Perhaps it just isn't suitable for my hair type 🤔 Have you tried using a BHA (for example, The Ordinary BHA Toner) on your scalp to eliminate dandruff? It must be massaged into the scalp and can only be left on for 10 minutes before washing it off.

You're supposed to shampoo your hair first, then apply the gloss on damp hair, and then rinse and condition. You did it on dry hair, and then you used shampoo.... that's not how you're supposed to use these products.
OGX is not a good brand. It has many lawsuits for hair loss. While I do not know about the gloss.. I switched to a natural. Hair dye and shampoo solution… about 80% of all brands are owned by major companies which sadly put profits over people/ quality.
Big companies are also the ones who can afford to do their own R&D and to create their products from scratch, unlike indie companies that often start out private labelling generic formulas pre-made by the labs they work with. The big ones also get more attention from the regulators and therefore have to keep their nose clean. Of course there's the other side of the story where they have more power to settle inconvenient lawsuits and pay off dissenters as well. But it's more complex than this.

Maybe people’s reasons for suing are valid but one thing I know is so many people blamed companies for their illnesses when there are so many other factors that can be at play plus people just like to sue nowadays. I won’t just believe anyone anymore. Especially on the internet. I had had a terrible reaction and loss a bit of hair from a garnier product you know what I did? I stopped using that product.

Yeah there’s no scientific proof hair products alone can cause hair loss and natural isn’t always better because arsenic and lead are natural
