I was a UniSA international student in 2010-2011 and absolutely loved how the city is planned, a truly 'garden city' with parklands and a lot of greenery. The old colonial stye heritage buildings that line the core CBD streets are just magnificent. I left when the new Royal Hospital is just been planned at North Terrace, it must be completed by now. Nice place to raise a family i'd say.
the image at 2:53 people throw money into the fountain and make wishes. just be careful and don't go on a hot day because that glass house is humid.

I haven't been here in ages, but, after living in Adelaide for 6 years I think that the best place is the Adventure Playground (wooden playground) at Port Noarlunga, it's great if you're a parent and have noisy kids.

Samuel Maurer Yes, but best to visit in the warmer months when more is happening, and in March it's amazing, but hard to get a hotel room at that time so book ahead of time !

I liked the subtle scoreboard view showing Port Adelaide FC absolutely destroying Brisbane FC at the Adelaide Oval.
Need to mention all our festivals too. We're called the festival state for a reason. Our Mad March (and February) festival period is undoubtably the best time to visit

I never knew Adelaïde was that beautiful. I was afraid to leave France and its European architecture but I guess a city like Adelaïde is a perfect blend of traditionnal and modern buildings so I would feel really well there. Maybe someday, if my husband agrees, we will go for good :)

I really don't understand why people bash Adelaide so much, if you find it boring then don't go, if you live there then move. what people need to understand is adelaide is not Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or whatever city you think is well built and beautiful, adelaide has its own kind of beauty, and if you failed to see it, then keep moving because it's not for you
MindBender 54 Exactly, most people that put it down are within Australia and it's just their posturing with my city is better than yours crap and more than likely have never been here, people that come from over seas complement the place saying how nice it is, or even interstate people come here and get a suprise because it was not what they had perceived, hey it's been ranked 5th in the world's most livable cities for a reason 👍

Great place to stay! Very green, very sunny and with a mild weather this is an extremely livable. The food and the wine are world class! The sporting scene and the theatre life is also excellent.

A fun fact is the Monet water lillies painting she references is located in the Saint Louis Art Museum in America. I'd love to go to Adelaide for it's a beautiful city.
I suggest coming here in our summer season and take your kids on a strawberry picking at the beerenburg strawberry farm near harndorf in the Adelaide hills or Melba's Chocolate Factory. During winter we'll Adelaide has library's museums and art galleries to explore but it's still kinda boring in winter the city is so focus on its summer places not much to do in winter.
