N&W 611 First Public Debut Run On The Virginia Scenic Railroad (10/6/2023)

After a few years taking residence at the Strasburg Railroad. Norfolk & Western 611 returns home to home territory and has found a new place to stretch her wheels on the newly formed Virginia Scenic Railroad created by the Buckingham Branch Railroad. This is the first autumn steam excursion in Virginia since 1994 which is almost thirty years ago, so it was a treat to see the 611 run on a mainline especially since she hasn't ran on mainline rails (without a diesel in the front) in a long long time.
