The slowest run up to the rim I’ve ever seen
That was good advice from Stephen Jackson. If you can’t dunk on a 9 foot rim right now then you’re never dunking on a 10 foot rim. Your run up looks really wonky and practicing on 9 foot will help you get your technique right.
Hank has to start paying attention to his jumping technique. He is robbing himself of a few extra inches. He should run faster towards the rim and after he leaves the ground he should raise the knee of his off leg. He is approaching the rim so sloppy and still is able to grab it. Just by paying attention to the technique he could be hanging from the rim at this point

Knee drive arm swing. Been saying it since the beginning. Also jumping off 1 foot and dunking with the opposite hand will get you an extra couple inches just from your body being able to stretch farther

I’ve been able to get my elbow over the rim since an 8th grader, but it took years to figure out how to actually dunk a basketball… there’s a mental aspect of it that most people won’t understand. So doing the actual movement consistently is important.

Hank could prob add a few inches immediately by working on the approach and transition step. He looks like he converts almost no momentum into the jump phase.

Jackson's got a point, if you're working on vertical, you gotta make sure your muscles and tendons are able to take the landing. Practicing the lower dunks for technique, eccentric overloading for strength, and depth drops for ligament prep would be good.

I've had my times rooting against/ hating on Hank. But I really hope he dunks, that would be huge!! I think he needs to hire a jumping trainer that helps perfect his jumping form. Also that advice to dunk on a 9' rim is solid advice. Get the technique down.

As good as the exercises are for increasing your vert are, you need to focus on your approach to jumping/dunking itself. Your approach to the rim is super slow right now. If you practiced the proper jumping technique (how to approach and load before your jump) you could actually gain a few inches from that alone. Maybe get a professional dunker/high jumper to show you how to do this. Good progress thus far!

I’m 30 seconds in. The way Hank barely touched rim and it got yelps of “that’s improvement!”….he needs another 8 inches - it’s never gonna happen, Dewey.
Love you Hank can't wait for you to dunk. Idk if they will have another duck boat parade for it tho. And if trampolines are an option, that looked like it worked.
He needs either speed or explosiveness. Whatever he thinks he’s the best at. If it’s speed, he’s gotta take better and faster run-ups. If it’s explosiveness, he’s probably doing what he should be doing, kinda jogging up to the rim. I started learning to dunk by going for speed, but now I’m better with explosiveness and form that I can do the run up hank does.
But that advice from Stephen was amazing, dunking isn’t just jumping, you gotta get used to having the ball and “aiming” while you dunk. Dunk on a 9’6” rim if possible and it will still train your jumping height but also get you used to it

Hank, buy some APL basketball shoes with the carbon fiber plate. Will give you a couple inches vert there, & practice a much faster pendulum step (the last step in your jump). Otherwise you’re cooked

Hank has the same pace throughout his approach; he needs to start slow and finish explosive. If he's going to continue jumping off of two feet he needs to look into a 4 step or 6 step approach. Also am I crazy but his shoes sound like they are don't fit him very well?

Hank you need to work on the run-up to the rim. You should try taking only 3/4 steps from the 3 point line with a lot of speed. You will never dunk with your current technique (I dunk regularly on middle aged men at my local lifetime, you can trust me)

This is going to sound like major 🧢 because it’s the internet, but if they had hired me from the beginning Hank would 100% accomplish it. That trainer might be good for general population, but he clearly has no idea how to coach jumping technique which easily unlocks 2-4 inches for most people instantly.
