Some of us BOOMERS absolutely love the Latin Mass ❤❤❤
Also a boomer here, I converted from Lutheranism in the 70s and could see the great difference between the NO mass and the Tridentine Mass. I did not convert to remain Lutheran, but now, according to the pope, I don't even need to convert!
Count me in on that, I love the Latin Mass, I also love the mass in English, I have been attending RC church since birth I’m now 79 years old, during the changes it never occurred to me, that one day in my lifetime, our Vatican would be charged with the horror crimes they have, nor that the Holy Mass and our religious life would be in danger of extinction. I will die a RC honouring and loving my God and my faith. In the midst of Frightening times ahead for the Roman Catholic Church. I truly believe our Pope, Frances, has lost his way and has forfeited the right to be the holder of the Keys , I pray for him.
Which one?
❤Never stopped loving the Mass in Latin❤
Pure nostalgia in my case, (but l am lucky to have that nostalgia, we're all thinning ou now)
I remember the natural oneness of the congregation. The calmness, the timelessness. That was as a child surrounded by a walls of soothingly soberly dressed adults, but also seeing the large families with many children, often standing in age order was visually pleasing somehow.
And now as an adult after attending the Latin Mass, l feel like a guest, the intense focus of The Priest(s) the purposeful movements and gestures, the liquid beauty of the language.
It's unique isn't it, almost impossible to describe.
I begin my day with Morning Offering, Morning Prayers, Liturgy of the Hours and these profound podcasts. Thank you for all you do.
Interestingly enough, yesterday at my TLM Parish, Fr. Stopped during Communion, took the paten from the altar boy, and gently cleared the paten in the chalice as he saw particles of our Lord on the paten . That was the first time in 56 yes that I witnessed that happening. The care he took on doing so was indescribable. God bless our Priests
The purification rite often overlooked in new mass. I remember in the 70’s watching the priests do it carefully. They were ordained with the old mass.
I remember clearly the particles of the Blessed Sacrament on the paten during communion. It was understood that ever particle retained the totality of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus…the priest would carefully brush all into the chalice and add a bit of the blessed water and consume all
Of it, then wipe with the cloth which would be put on chalice and so on.
This was in the 70s at Novus Ordo. There were priests who were very reverent around this. Communion on the hand coarsened this and now who knows how many particles of the Blessed Sacrament fall to the floor and are trampled upon or wiped off on skirts or pants.
It is quite saddening
@@grasshoffers What I witnessed was not during purification , he placed the Host on a Communicants tongue, then noticed the particles , stopped before going to the next Communicant and carefully moved the particles into the Chalice The 70's destroyed everything, then they wonder why there is such a low number of weak lukewarm Catholics believe in the true presence.
@@andy41417if you remember that from the 70's you were lucky to be in that Parish. Between the folks Mass and felt banners, standing for Communion in the hand it was sickening
WHen I receive Christ in Communion by hand I take a second and receive Him before I leave the presence of the Priest no doubt where the Consecrated Host is for Father or anyone else. This is how I was taught. I am unable to attend Mass because of disabilities but will try harder to make the extra effort the total peace and encouragement are like balm to the soul
PRAY, PRAY, PRAY FOR THE TRUE CATHOLIC TLM OF OUR LORD, JESUS CHRIST !!!!
Definitely got more people to confession since our pastor reintroduced Eucharistic adoration to our Parish. The faith is getting stronger. More people kneeling on the floor to receive. More veils. It's wonderful!
I found Bishop Eleganti's letter clear and balanced. In saner times letters like this wouldn't fear repercussions from Rome. But saner times are long gone. God speed, Anthony, on your journey home.
I think the Eucharistic Revival is doing a lot of good! I’m seeing Adoration more and more in my diocese and it’s wonderful. We have Adoration every Tuesday and every 1st Saturday night.
Most of the hymns in my old N.O. parish were totally Protest-ant. I can only remember singing one Marian hymn, "Immaculate Mary", at which the congregation perked up and sang their hearts out, with great joy and gusto! 🙏😊💕 We drowned out our very loud organ! 😅
Sadly, we never sang it again before we left for Tradition. 😭
I Love You, Bishop Elegante.....💜 Courageous Prelates like You help keep the Holy Ghost"s Fire🔥 Burning brightly within ALL the hearts of The Faithful.
Prayers everyday for the Stine Family.
The official church declared Vatican Ii as PASTORAL COUNCIL nor a dogmatic one. This impinges upon the necessity of "accepting" its statements. Where the council reaffirms what the Church has always taught I must accept its declarations. Where its reaffirmations are problematic or it attempts to introduce solutions to contemporary problems we are free to discuss and criticize. What seems to be absent in all of this discussion about the Revival is the fact that the Mass is first and foremost our sacrificial adoration of the Trinity by Christ to the Father becuse of the cross. It is not a remembrance meal or a community building activity. Father's Reese's synodal idea of the "eucharist" heretically denatures what the Mass is. Community results from Christ's one and only sacrifice for our sins. Any other type of theology smacks of pelagiansim as if we can so manipulate our ceremonies to sanctify ourselves. Seek ye first the kingdom of God.
Thank you for, yet again, another great stream. I hope you enjoy those stops along the way as you make your way back to Oklahoma.
The Novus Order is so similar to the Episcopal Church.
Novus ordo mass is basically a Lutheran service.
Actually the 1928 Prayer Book used by some Episcopal Churches for their services is much more beautiful than the NO. I converted decades ago and attended an Episcopal high church for one year before being received into the RCC. We had a choir I sang in, wore robes and hats, and sang Catholic and Orthodox music.
When I attended my first masses, the music was dreadful, the mass was so disappointing, and when I moved to my current town, the first parish I attended had heretics teaching classes,it was horrible.
Bishop Marian Eleganti is NOT from The Netherlands but from Switzerland.
Great Show Dear Brother Anthony! Am watching it again! Praying for your trip home in Jesus's Name! Amen! Ave Maria! ❤❤
Thank you so much Dear Brother Anthony & family! ❤️❤️
The majority of the parishes in my diocese (at least in the CITY of Lincoln) have perpetual adoration. Perpetual adoration is not possible at the FSSP chapel I go to, but they do have their adoration & exposition most of the time on Fridays, following the 12:30 PM mass.
Ah yes come fellow travelers all are welcome in the Synodal church of perpetual ecological oneness avail yourself of the repast of synodality
My pastor is heading for Indiana to the Eucharistic Congress tomorrow. Hope it has some good fruit produced by it.
I stopped OSV years ago when they promoted James Martin's book.
@@CatholicCat-er9xn God bless you my Friend!
@@miryambarnabas2424 Morning, dear MirY'am! May you be blessed today and every day! 🥰🙂🙃🙂
Interesting info today. Have a safe trip
You really made me "Think" Dear Brother Anthony! Thank you so much! I appreciate your help! ❤❤
Diocese of Chur is Switzerland 🇨🇭
There's no grounds for changing the mass the bishops voted in the council to not have it changed ...contrary to what we have been led to believe
Thank you, Anthony
If you want to see the devastation caused in the soul on one famous catholic I suggest you read, "A Bitter Trial - Evelyn Waugh and John Carmel Cardinal Heenan on the Liturgical Changes" edited by Alcuin Reid. In one letter Heenan states the the liturgists insist that they are seeing the fruits of the new mass taking root in his parishes especially among the children who find the vernacular easier. Didn't turn out so well did it?
I never had a problem with the Latin, I am a convert. Just buy an English/Latin missal. The translation is there. Besides, after a while you learn the Latin. Having studied a romance language (French), it's easy to see the connections with Latin.
Great show Anthony, Pax!
Vatican II gave us a “new church”??? I sort of like the Old Church. You know, the one established by Our Lord.
Our lady warned that the bishops will lead the flock astray.
Safe travels for all of you, Anthony! God bless and Mary keep you all! 🙏🙏🙏
Thirty years ago when I was in seminary, our liturgy professor fought with us for asking to have adoration once a week.
Did you leave the seminary?
& find a new one that was truly "catholic".
That professor clearly does not know what it means to be Catholic. Without the Eucharist you only have symbology, a feel good type of Christ. Why give up the true Body and Blood for a piece of bread? WHY???
How are you as a human going to make JESUS CHRIST A GOD BETTER you can't and you don't need to just love GOD adore GOD make him your LORD and SAVIOR God bless and keep us all stay safe and God strong
They had Trump dancing to "The Village People" at the RNC right after the Cardinal's speech! What is it they're going to do?!?
I was born during Vatican 2. I didn't like Vatican 2 then iether. The communion rails were torn out right before my first holy communion. Found the tlm 60 year later. Now I'm a little pissed off that it was hidden from me for so long.
When I took a friend to a Latin Mass some years ago, he said, realizing what had been stolen from him, "I was seething inside."
In Switzerland
Chur is in Switzerland
God bless Bishop Eleganti! He may not have gone as far as Abp. Viganò, nor as far as we might wish, but I can see where he has skated perilously close to "the Edge": ie; insofar as BerGOGlio's temper flares so easily at even the *slightest* hint of disagreement with his stated goals.
This may not bode well for Bp. Eleganti, so let us add him to our ever-growing list of Rosary Intentions. I suspect, by now, everyone's intentions have increased to the size of an endless Encyclopedia. It takes a long time to state them all!
Praying for the Church, always! Ave Maria! 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Anthony! God bless and Mary keep you and yours! 🙏🙏🙏
After living with Vat. II for six decades, my Spiritual Director suggested I read a book about it. I did so obediently, THE ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS OF VATICAN II. I was amazed at everything with which I disagreed. That was five yrs. ago and I have been studying Vat.II and it's fallacies and ambiguities since then. Eleganti is so right. Don't bother talking about this unless the listener has an open heart. More are speaking out about Vat. II which is just super. At the highest level the freemasons, whose goal for existing is to destroy the Catholic Church, were orchestrating Vat. II capturing all of us who were obedient and trusting. And Nat'l Cath. Reporter is up there with America magazine. Do not confuse it with Nat'l Catholic Register, it's antithesis.
I am certain Jwsus is present in the consecrated Holy Eucharist.
23:00 - 23:30 right on the edge of heresy if not outright implying men should follow something other than the word of god.
Anthony, do you suppose you could do a podcast on what Fr Malachi Martin said in the last interview with art bell which can be found on TH-cam? Seems quite important to preserving the faith to be aware of subtle changes being taught these days which he points out
He probably did already. Did you check the Return to Tradition website ?
@@margaretklos8937 not yet. Thanks
I'm Old enough to remember the latin mass in the 60's. It's nice to see the enthusiasm brought to the Catholic Church with the traditional latin mass celebrations in some parishes. Hope the church moderates its ideas and allows this movement to flourish! Lets say a parish has 10 masses per week, what's the harm in one of them being latin?
I doubt Fr. Tommy actually has the faith. He comes across as an educated social worker and probably a Socialist. His concern seems to be more material than spiritual. God spare us from these faithless Priests.
🌹 Ave Maria
From what I have read of the documents and granted not all of them-
You can’t square the documents with the church we see today.
I do think good Bishops voted with good intentions and bad bishops with evil intent spun the docs as they wanted. And because the bad reforms were in line with the secularists in the home parishes the Church was laid open and eviscerated.
No, the words are right there in the documents. Let me dig through my computer and find the references.

@@janetbaker1945V2 dismantled the Church to make her Protestant. I have never accepted it.
@@carolynkimberly4021 True, it is protestant, I know I used to be protestant. No one is obliged to accept error. There is no amount of "dialog" that is going to make me believe that a naked, ugly, fertility goddess statue is supposed to be the Most Pure, Modest, Beautiful, Virgin Mary, Mother of God. Sorry, I'm not stupid! I would rather attend a Tridentine Latin Mass than a clown mass any day! If Our Lord asks me at my judgement why I did not support the NO mass near me I will say, but Lord, it was a chicken dance mass! They were praising the UN and offering mass to climate change!
What is the point of being Catholic if that truth is just one truth among many? There is only one Truth, and you either accept that fact or you don't. Choose wisely, your eternal soul depends on your choice. By the way, Luther, and other protestants do not have the Truth, I know, I used to be Lutheran.
The young are important but they have to live thier lives as though they do NOT exist in this time and that the eara they are in Is unfamiliar to them. These young have to feel the timelessness if God and that He is if every moment which includes the past as well as the presemt.
The people today though are fist fighters and demand that God "change" His attitude and "loves" all of us no matter how far in sin we live because He has to love to love totally or else.
The TLM is in the fagile level of a True God and the popular lenient God that cooperates. If that thin line ever gets breached buy Lenient God and all the same secular trash gets in then we're trapped in the pressent weakening Church.
What it boils down to is which God the Young prefer, lets hope the majority prefer the True God over Lenient. Amen
Bugnini bragged about the ambiguity!
Thomas Reese Jimmie Martin... who in their right mind ordained these creatures?
I would argue that anyone who truly believed that Synodality could make a better Eucharist believes the Lutheran doctrine that says the Eucharist is confected by the faith of those gathered and not by the priest. More people from more backgrounds must mean a better unity. Fr. Reese's explanation confirmed this to me, he prioritizes the faith of the community and its experience as the presence of Christ higher than the actual Eucharist.
@@slickmechanical We were told to say Amen before receiving Communion. WHY? Because we confect the Eucharist, not the priest only.
@@carolynkimberly4021 thats actually heretical. Read the council of trent session XIII. That is condemned. We say amen before receiving the Eucharist as an affirmation that we believe it is already confectefd into the Eucharist by the priest alone.
@@slickmechanical I agree that the Amen is heretical. At the true Mass the priest says over us, "May the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ keep your soul into life everlasting". No "Amen" necessary.
@@carolynkimberly4021 the amen is not heretical. The idea that the eucharist is confected by one's faith is heretical. It is effected by the words of the priest acting in persona Christi.
@@slickmechanical Of course that's true. So why do we need to say anything? This is the icing on the cake of the Bugnini/Paul Vl Protestantized ecumenical Mass.
Those without faith are unable to grasp the faith and view things differently from those with faith. It is pretty much impossible for the two sets of people to dialogue effectively or to any real purpose. Seems the theory is that if we remove the one true faith from everyone, then we can all get along...which hasn't worked. Besides, gettiing along was never the goal...the Church was created to demonstrate and protect the faith.
Yes, and bring people to salvation through Christ, not to water down the faith so it is pleasing to the UN and World Economic Forum, Lord save us!
Anthony, in our chore in Catholic Church we organised to sing the Gregorian chant(about11yrs ago)! This had to be abandoned when the protestant members of the choir rebelled!
I left the church, I didn't want a thirty years war to emerge!
Lots of love from Wolverhampton.
Why did you have Prots in the choir? Your parish wasn't Catholic
why on earth were Protestants even allowed to be there, much less have an opinion! If I went to a Protestant mega church and demanded they get rid of their rock gospel, they would laugh in my face! What is wrong with Catholics today, NO SPINE! Speak up, defend your faith!
Cardinal Cupich DID NOT allow Our Eucharist Lord to publicly process through Chicago.
Boy, that speaks volumes, doesn't it.
His treatment of us Latin Mass goers tells you he was in on drafting Traditional Custard.
😢
He did....speed walking through the streets with no canopy and no reverence, people were running to keep up. It made the news! 😢
Sad.
Reese's piece is typically offbase.
Sorry, couldn't stop myself.
Orémus Y'all.
Vatican II has ambiguous language in places. It needs review. It launched a new church. But, if Vat II basically said to leave the mass as it is, then why write the document on the Liturgy? Bad motivation!
In my journey to the TLM I noticed that traditional parishes do not have adoration. They occasionally have benediction, but that’s it. Any idea why that is, Anthony?
Ours has adoration every Thursday all day and every first Saturday, so your parish is not the norm.
Sometimes it's because the priests have to spread themselves thinly because of administrating the sacraments, sick calls, travelling between chapels etc, so they're not able to have Adoration and Benediction as often as they and we would like. Also it's hard for the little one's to be quiet for so long.
My Trad parish has adoration every Thursday and all day and night on First Fridays.
@@maryelisabeth7167 As for crying babies, we have a cry room, but our priests travel from as far away as Kansas City, Colorado, to come to Texas to say mass.
I feel like I'm made more stupid for having to listening to that man's reasoning. 😑
Paul 6 was the one who declared V2 to be a true Council, that is authoritative, and likewise, if he was pope, then it was up to him to decide what the documents were in fact requiring. One can talk about the “implementation” as if it were up to subordinates to implement it, when in fact it lay in Paul 6’s hands, and he engineered te whole thing, down to the destruction of the altars and the creation of the architecture in which the congregation became the primary “Body of Christ” on which people were to gaze in a semi-circle. Either the Council had no authority & neither had the pseudo-popes implementing it, or it has authority and the papal interpreters of it were also correct. “Just a pastoral council” has been an evasion invented by Abp Lefebvre, because he could never bring himself to declare the See vacant & the conciliar popes invalid. But it is a complete fabrication that an official council can somehow lack all dogmatic authority, for failure to issue dogmatic canons, when the very Cinstitution of the Church is called a “Dogmatic Constitution of the Church”.
By what authority could the Archbishop declare the See vacant?
Pope Paul 6 stated that Vatican Council 2 was a PASTORAL council. No Dogmas were made or issue d by this Council.
Abp Marcel Lefebvre made no statement that the Papal chair was vacant.
@@johnmorgan4313 He never made a public statement. He not infrequently shared his concern that it was. Abp Lefebvre was already an older man in retirement when he began the SSPX, and zigged and zagged to try to preserve it and tradition. He would certainly have done so if he’d seen the obscenity of the worship of idols and the absurdity of people saying “no, it wasn’t an idol, he was fooled, etc.”
A canonical authoritative determination is in the future, but it will never come if the church of James Martin blessings , and if you think this is the real Church & Francis is a real pope, then you will remain enslaved to the lies and God will never deliver you.
You cannot spell sinodality without sin...I know, I know..syn..a bit of word play.
Father Tommy is a Neo-Arian who clearly denies the divinity of Christ, denies consubstantiality, and thus he denies the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed. He is thus no longer a Catholic. Like all heretics they claim to be still Catholic but fail to believe the Catholic faith.
