These guys aren't too hard, but can be tricky. Che is the hardest one by far, so if you can defeat him, you're good to go. Be sure to equip the defender chain and the appropriate jewel when fighting these guys. Their strategy is simple: hit, hit, special, so be sure to heal, hit, spirit and they'll go down.
If they could use their ultimate techniques whenever they like and not every three turns, the challenge for these fights would go through the roof.

Agreed. I think they made this decision to make them easier, presumably because they thought they would be too hard otherwise.

Its a forgotten classic, and severely underrated. These guys are awesome and fairly hard if you are playing without grinding much.
Three major battles are coming and Noa was just posing. This game is fantastic!

What was the Madlight Jewel for?
Defense against thunder attacks. It only blocks 20% I think.
