They all do. I gave up on Aldas because he was stretching a realistic 5-8-minute video into a 10-20-minute video every time. Now LawVS is doing the same as Aldas, and it's wearing thin too.

They need to optimize all portions of a race weekend including the car. Get the most out of setup, find a few things that can be tweaked or optimized and go from there.

@@mikespearwood3914 that is mostly true, there were some changes to floor in 2021 that mostly worked to handicap the mercedes and racing point (aston martin) cars bringing them more in line with their competition. I dont think that was the original intention of the changes, many people at the time thought it would actually hit RB the hardest, but thats how it played out.
The 2021 cars were actually slower than the 2020 cars its just that some cars didn't require as many modifications to get them running in spec. RB spent more development time ironing out the kinks of their 2020 car as opposed to any fundamental changes to their concept. Had Mercedes been able to simply run a straightforward B spec of their 2020 car we likely wouldnt have seen a title battle in 2021, or at least it wouldn't have played out as intensely as it did in reality.

Adrian may see Aston as the right challenge before ending his career being a team not quite at the back needing an extra push to make it not impossible to fight at the front

Max may not like the performance of Ford + RedBull

For me I can't see them doing anything drastic the 2026 rules are far to important to try a totally different direction for next year car also having max is the big difference maker let's face it lando isn't on his level at the moment ferrari shooting themselves in the foot most season and Mercedes losing hamilton will be a massive loss in terms of a championship fight next year max will drag that cat to a championship then he'll be off to Mercedes in 2026

I don't care how it happens, I just want to see it happen - down with Red Bull, down with Max, the ultimate definition of a good talent that basically cannot win consistently if the car isn't significantly faster than it's competition.
I think they're only keeping Checo after the summer break in an effort to *_purposely_* tank in the constructors championship and introduce F1 to the practice of purposely being bad to get more time to develop/be better next season. Max will probably win the WDC based on his early 2024 wins, Button and Brawn did this in 2009, an early lead is powerful, make no mistake. The WDC is what is marketable but the WCC is how dynasties are established at the cost of driver harmony. The fact no one else is picking up on this angle is flabbergasting. They're approaching 2026 without Newy, without a significant advantage, and developing their own engine for the first time ever. Red Bull is trying to tank now to win back dev time.

It's clear you're either new to F1 or missed the 2021 season entirely, as in 2021, the Red Bull wasn't significantly faster than the Mercedes, yet Max consistently won races.

Just exactly what track would Red Bull still be able to find that perfect window to be the fastest car? I think the ship has sailed on the 'fastest in a tiny window' theory has already sailed. McLaren is fastest ánd the most versatile.

It shows in Austria and spa qualifying tho that when they ge the set up right. It can still be the best concept. Problem is it’s such a narrow window they’re chasing on the setup that only Newey knew how to tune
