I am watching this in January of 2022. I thought I had seen most of your videos, but missed this one! Fabulous! I can only imagine how wonderful it was for Parisians to have their city to themselves for a while. This tour was beautiful. My husband and I were there; however, it was on our first trip to Paris....in February of all months!!! We loved it anyway....freezing or not!!! Thanks for the walk and such great historical information in addition to my own memories! We spent a New Year's Eve at the Moulin Rouge....another great memory! Thanks again!

Bonjour! I just stumbled onto this. What a lovely video! I love to walk around Montmartre whether there are crowds or not.:-)! It has so many interesting things to see. Stunning to see it so empty. Last time I was there was in September 2019 and hope to go back soon. Merci!

The cozy streets have so much personality. Love hearing the stories of Poulbot and the children. His kindness is so endearing and inspiring.

Of all your videos, this one is still my favourite: Montmartre on a sunny spring day, hardly anyone on the streets, the sound of birds and church bells. I've watched it many times. I'm so glad the pandemic is behind us now and you're back to touring with Rick Steves. I hope to meet you one day on a visit to Paris, thank you for helping us get through dark times.

Merci Vero! You are in my neighborhood. These days of confinement have been made so much sweeter by the peace and quiet of this petite village. I have really enjoyed your aperos!

I just watched this magnificent visit to Montmartre with my 17-year-old daughter and pointed out all of the places that she, her father and I visited long ago, before the pandemic. Even though she was only seven at the time, she did remember having her picture taken in front of the vineyard. It was shocking to see the streets so blissfully free of tourists and cars on a sunny day, exactly when you would expect them to be packed. I wonder what Montmartre looks like now?

Montmartre has gotten a lot busier since last summer, but it's not back yet to the crowd levels we experienced in the past (many Asian travelers have not returned to France yet for example.) Happy you enjoyed this tour -- filmed without a stabilizer! :-)

What a great little tour/walk. This is one of the neighborhoods I knew very little about . . . until you came along. You have a great gift to bring the spirit of Montmartre to life. Thanks so much Vero.

Thank you so much for this wonderful tour of Montmartre, The empty Place du Tertre was eerie. I especially enjoyed this visit because I first visited in 1957 and last in 2013. Sadly to say at 85 years old and with all the virus concerns I will be dependent on virtual visits such as this.
    Merci beaucoup!

What a wonderful little video tour of Montmartre! Thank you so much for this. I would love to see Paris one day and especially Montmartre. New subscriber from Ontario, Canada. I look forward to more of your videos. Any chance of an Art Nouveau architecture video or seeing where Alphonse Mucha lived?

Very smooth videography, Vero. No shaking🌸 This was a wonderful review of our last spring visit in Montmartre. Learned so much more by your video. It’s surreal to not see the artists... as Place du Tertre was standing room only during our visit and you couldn’t even walk without bumping into people.

I can't tell you how much this warmed my heart. I love Montmartre, crowds or not, but it was delightful to see it with you and without the swarms of people. I can't wait to be one of them again! ;-) And I am just praying that all the businesses survive.

Bonjour from Minnesota! Another lovely video; merci! In English heraldry the whole "thing" is called an achievement, and commonly referred to as a coat of arms. A crest is actually the crown-like bit on top, which here is comprised of towers.
It's interesting to see the arms of Paris; they are probably not displayed often. They are rather, uh, not in the spirit of your revolution.
    Vive la France 🇫🇷!
