Enjoyed service this morning taken by Rev. Andy Black - the WiFi wavered a bit at the start with the sound going off and then on but thankfully it then allowed us to have a more or less perfect live stream. My thanks to the team at the controls. It was lovely to see Sheena back from her New Zealand holiday and reading the intimations and Dave Gregory taking the bible up to the pulpit and giving the two bible readings later on. Andy's children's address referring to board games and the rules relating to each one was good as he then referred to God's rules contained in the Ten Commandments, the greatest commandment being "Love one another and love your neighbour as yourself". If only that could be brought about all over the world then it would stop the warfare that is raging everywhere. As Christine Omay commented as she watched the service on live stream it was a very meaningful service. The hymns were appropriate to the subject matter and Andy's prayer of thanksgiving and intercession was lovely. Enjoyed Martin's closing voluntary "Rule Britannia" which he played with feeling as usual. All in all a lovely service. Thank you to all involved behind the scenes as well as those taking part.
