  • Join us for part 1 of this two part series as we tackle over 70km of remote river across Cape York Peninsula. Four tinnies with electric motors, eight blokes and a pile of gear set out to float down the river after the wet season. Join the crew as we camp, cook and battle through the problems we face to reach Stones Crossing from Billies Lagoon. Despite broken rods, broken reels, busted electric motors, big log jams and injuries we must make it to the other end. With catching fish a big part of the trip it is easy to forget the dangers. Snakes, crocodiles, fast water, flood debris and the vast remoteness are always in the back of our minds. With Australian native fish like barramundi, sooty grunter and saratoga all in our sights, this is going to be one hell of an epic freshwater trip. Spin rods, bait cast rods, soft plastics, hard bodies and surface lures are all ready for action and so too are eight eager men.
