It's pretty clear that Kayla enjoys being chased around by the VO's. She is making sure all of them know she's got her sister as a prisoner. Now she'll be getting all kinds of treats and attention. She'll never give up Kaya as long as she is having so much fun.
Omg you realize this was 3 years ago right? Plus even if that was true oh well. One dies, 5 more are born. Not like her life was going to make any difference in the world either way. Especially since she's a macaque. They're useless pests. Literally the worst monkey and animal. Unfortunately it's survival of the biggest in the monkey world. She's doing what she needs to to survive and eat. If she has to use her sister and she dies in the process she didn't care. Why? Because they're selfish horrible macaques. All they care about is food. They'll kill their own baby because of food.

It’s her sister, the mother recently died. The baby chose comfort over food and died of starvation. I saw a video that explained the sores on her head, her sister was biting them into her head! She was a mean little monster!

This video clearly shows that Kaya wasn’t the clinger everybody made her out to be. It was always Kayla the one who wouldn’t let her go! Kaya wanted nothing more than to get away from her abusive sister.
Absolutely! I think she did everything she could do in the beginning but turned mean and aggressive towards her little sibling! Kayla was an adolescent herself being 2yrs of age at least. She might of been going through her period which throws off her levels and maybe that's why she became more aggressive..idk just speculating

Kaya was trying to get away but when she realizes there’s no one there to save her, she turns back to Kayla. Poor Kayla is a juvenile with NO maternal instincts. She should’ve been jumping and playing… not having to deal with that thing! I’m surprised Kaya didn’t get them both killed.
I saw a later video, her sister was actually biting those wounds in her head. She was an evil little monkey and hated her little sister.

They were saying Kaya was clingy. No, her elder sister Kayla was abusive and clinging to her for food.
This was the saddest. She literally beat the baby's brain out by dragging her. It wasn't big sister's fault most of the time. She tried to be a kid & play with her friends but Kaya latched on to her. Sad her mom died & left them orphans.
These two monkeys are from two different races and have nothing to do with each other. They were not sisters. This race of this monkey has a black and really ugly face.

It was the sisters fault but on the other hand you can blame it on just how monkeys brains work and their thought processes. They obviously can’t reason on the level of a human. Kayla always ate first, an older monkey doesn’t share food with the younger ones. Baby’s can have what’s left over, usually there’s nothing, or they can have what falls on the ground but only if the older monkey has gotten its fill. This is why Kayla wouldn’t feed her. As far as holding on, Kaya probably wouldn’t let go of her sister because it always resulted in her getting drug around by the tail or arm, crashing in to god knows what so to prevent getting dragged, she clung. This was one of the few situations where I had actually wished a VO had interfered by stepping in and taking Kaya.

@@MickeyMorandini1 I’m not sure monkeys think like that Mickey. They seem to show a bit of empathy to other monkeys but it goes away fast. There first priority is food, food then food. I do think monkeys realize that they’re more apt to be fed by humans if they have a baby with them. The older sis may have used her as a tool to get fed easier. That may have been why sis kept baby so long because she saw her as an easier way to get fed. This is all a huge guess though. I used to work in a zoo with a Mac enclosure but our macs were fed on a regular basis and plus had natural food sources in the enclosure so they didn’t have to resort to “tricks” to get a meal.
The older sister is just doing what she's biologically wired to do - take care of her sibling in the absence of a mother. SHe has no idea that she's actually killing her. And poor Kaya is doing what she's programmed to do: cling for security, even at the expense of food (see Harlow's experiments). Only an intervention would've saved her, - which is an ethically gray area for "wild" animals, and easier said, then done.
That's not entirely true. There were several times Kaya tried to get away. The sister kept pulling her back. She forced the sister to stay with her because the VO's were feeding her. Kaya was a meal ticket. The more brutal, the more the VO's fed her. Plus, the older sister wouldn't allow her to eat. Poor thing was so hungry, she just couldn't get away. She had such a sad life. Say what you want. The VO'S got greedy. At any time, they could have set up the older sister and separated them. They were too busy worried about their money to save a life. They watched her deteriorate and starve, they did nothing! They actually enjoyed watching Kaya get hurt. Some of the videos, you can hear them laughing, throwing food so the older one would do more harm. Very pathetic. My only comfort is one day those VO's will absolutely get what's coming to them!

The VOs filmed the abuse rather than call the necessary agency to intervene.

@@laurenurban3942 Is this in Thailand? Because they have laws. Namely, the Prevention of Animal Cruelty and Provision of Animal Welfare Act which was enacted in 2014 and constitutes the main animal welfare legislation at present.
And where there are laws, there are agencies and law enforcement. A simple Google search does the trick. The problem is if you don't want to call and instead want to make money out of content like this.
Who are they gonna call dipshit? You think the entire world is just like your home, where people can just call someone to deal with one insignificant monkey or take injured monekys to the vet. The vets they don't even have there. Nobody cares about this stupid monkey and why would anyone use resources to help it in anyway.
The VOs sat and repeatedly shoveled bananas at her. The baby would try to bite some off, Kayla would bite the hell out of her face, repeatedly. She was even getting full and throwing bananas down but refused to let Kaya have any of it. VOs still kept giving her bananas tho and those things will literally eat themselves to death so....VOs overstuffed one so they could film the starvation death of another. Tell me again how they're good people....

Yet this is what they see all day every day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Yeah you'd think they'd figure things out before we would.....hmm, maybe they're well aware of what they're doing. They're not there to be heroes, they're there to make money. her not following the rules by eating out of turn in front of adult maqrats got her paralyzed,which in turn killed her.
@@bianca952000 no her sister did it too her when she kept eating in front of adults and had been warned , she drug her a few feet and when kaya scrambled to grab her she missed and was laying flat and Kayla jumped down on her spine and after that she was paralyzed

Food & water. That baby hasn't eaten or drank since her mother died, and her sister is refusing to let her get any help from the cameramen. Even though the sister keeps grabbing food for herself. She's not sharing it with her baby sister. That's why the baby is trying to get to the VOs, she KNOWS that they have food.

Kayla was about 1and a half when mom went missing
She tried her best protecting her baby sis Kaya but remember she was jus a toddler herself and should have been playing discovering and trying to find food for herself
Well eventually she got so frustrated having kaya stuck on her like Velcro and constantly whinnying screeching and demanding that she started dragging and biting and standing on her kaya became paralyzed and eventually died
Mom showed up afterwards and was a mess toes hanging off and body deep wounds and could barely walk she then vanished again I guess to go off and die
As I said you can watch Kayla and kaya life with mom before it all happened
If they didn’t feed these animals…..I don’t believe the big sis would have been so aggressive. If they had to forage for food all day….Kaya would have starved to death by day three with no milk, water or food. What little bits of food the people provided to them was just enough to keep the little one alive for about one week so she could drive her sister crazy. They should just leave them alone and stop feeding them.

Ну она же сама дурная Кайя, её же взяла к себе та обезьянка другой породы там на дереве,все время прижимала к себе,так нет же она все время вырывалась от неё к своей сестре как будто бы ей нравились эти мучения,ну вот и нашла себе смерть,а если бы осталась она с той обезьянкой она бы была жива

No. The marks on Kaya's head are puncture wounds from Kayla biting her with those sharp canine teeth. She's bitten because Kayla wants her to let go.
I get that the VOs were trying to feed baby Kaya in doing so they had to feed Kayla in order to get to Kaya..I wished there was a another way way around that so you didn't have to feed Kayla and go directly to Kaya. If only there was a way to have put Kayla down so to grab the little Kaya and put her in a rescue center! She didn't deserve the torcher she endured along with alot of other infants but that's the wild and that's their way of life. Does anyone know what exactly happened to mom?
I know people think that as long as the baby gets something..we’ll it definitely wasn’t enough and I’ll bet if someone followed them for 1 maybe 2 days and make sure big sis got no handouts she’d let the kid go

Well… the birther was kind of incapacitated. Seems like the birther was messed up pretty badly out in the forest and wasn’t in any condition to take care of the little macaqcrap spawn…
When the babies become orphans none of the older female's from the Troup take the babies ?
Depends on the orphaned infant's position in the hierarchy. If an orphaned infant is of a low rank, & there is a low-ranking female without an infant of her own, they will usually adopt the orphaned infant. Or a high-ranking monkey will take a low-ranking orphaned infant. But a high-ranking orphaned infant will not usually be taken by a low-ranking female. If there is no high-ranking female that will take a high-ranking orphaned infant, then the troop will protect the orphaned infant from other troops, predators & humans, but not nurture or feed it. Sometimes, a high-ranking young male will take an orphaned infant, but of course, they can't nurse it & usually don't share their food either. So the orphaned infant is like Kaya here - stuck trying to survive on meager scraps. The more desperate they get, the harder they try to nurse off their surrogate. Eventually the surrogates become angered, & begin to either drag the orphans or carry them upside down - both which result in head trauma & broken necks/spines. Orphaned infants' survival really depends on what age they were when they became an orphan. The closer to being weaned & the better foragers they are, the greater their chances.
