Nice work...subbing.
These birds Roared!!
Fantastic video
6.27 is according to me the best part of the video: Everyone on board could escape unharmed! A good decision of the captain to make a sharp right turn when he saw a main road and buildings straight ahead of the runway and by drifting through the grassland to stop the plane.
Nice work, very realistic!
Thank you!
This incident was mentioned in Air Disasters about Flight 782
I will never understand just not using max take-off speed at all times , what would be the harm in just to have the extra reasurance
To always take-off at "max" speed would mean to always utilize max thrust. Believe it or not, this is an exponential increase in maintenance cost which would be incurred by the airline. Prohibitively expensive in the long run. And to be honest, reduced thrust take off’s are really quite safe with more then enough stop-margins incorporated into them. Cheers
Your videos are very well done. I just subscribed.
I have a question, though. I've never seen engines smoke that much both taxiing, and in flight in real life except for maybe the Concord, or B52s.
The B52 used to fly with this same type of engine. Old turbofan engines used to leave a trail of smoke like in this video.
Thanks for the explanation. I gotta say, the simulations in your videos are some of the best I've seen.
Bet you ain't seen 'em smoke like Air France--
okay, I'll stop there.
The old 707's sure did smoke a lot, too.
Hadnt anyone sern billowing black smoke before that point alarm sounded ATC or a grounds person, or another pilot they were so so lucky
One of the most beautiful airplanes ever built. I just flew once on passenger DC8 from Iberia. Stunning!
Shit, you are really good !!!!!!!!!!!
What flight sim do you use for your videos? Liked and subbed BTW.
X-plane.
Why don’t I remember this crash and I live a block away from JFK
Are you over 60?
If you can't rotate, and you tried twice - - it's time to have a talk with the loadmaster.
What a massive miscalculation. What smoky engines to say the least.!.
How many believed the gospel for salvation??? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and read Ephesians 2:8-9. Life can be very short, so do not live as if you will never die or you could die without believing what is very important.
this aircraft is a DC8-62 I worked this aircraft for many years
Oh! Cool! I should have gone to work for an airline right out of high school!
Thanks. It says so in the video.
Thosé Engunnes were on fire from start
how piloté not be notices all the smoke fire ???
What flight simulator is that?
It's xplane!
Bet you it's either a 61 or 63 I was a capt for 8 years. Even on the 71
It’s not a -62…definitely a DC 8-61. Look at the cheatlines, ex-Eastern Airlines a/c. They only flew the stretch DC 8-61s.
to bad , human error , a computer can only what's put into it !
Oops
The DC 8's smoked a lot. Maybe not so black but not light in color at all. Spent a lot of time on them. And, not being Boeing-built, they usually arrived intact at the destination.
The aircraft shown is not a DC8-62. The engines are the wrong ones for a -62. It’s most likely a -55 DC8.
Nobody cares?! We're hear for the short story get a life! Jeez!!!!
Nothing is full proof is it no proletariat pilots are prepared for the unthinkable only through vast experience would they know what to do.
surely is a 62
