@airheadzradioadventures It's really easy to learn, and the menus don't make you do mental gymnastics either. I've got an FT-857d and honestly I haven't even touched it since I got my 7300 lol. Put some portable zero escort rails on it. 😉
The TennTennas are great. I have the high power and QRP ones. However, I always feel guilty if Walt (who makes them) hunts me for POTA and I'm using a different antenna, LOL.
Be sure to put the choke at the radio, not at the box. With the EFHW and 25 plus feet of coax you shouldn't need a counterpoise. EF random with a 9:1 yes, a counterpoise is needed. I like wire better than portable verticals by far. Good luck and looking forward to more videos. Steve, k7ofg.
If you would check 3980 kHz to see what the swr is. Really interested in this antenna if it can be tuned to 3980khz. That’s the only frequency I need on 75/80m
Jason, so nice of you to get the 7300 for Katie! The 7300 is great radio and she will enjoy it. K4JDF
You're going to love the 7300. I even started activating parks with mine. I've had absolutely no issues with it. 73!
So far I'm amazed!

Hello Jason,
Always love to see videos of the transformer in use by customers!

Our favorite!!
Jason, now you have a 100 watt radio I’m looking forward to hearing better in So. Cal! This is great news. Thanks posting the video...!

I have a 7300 too. It's a good radio. The end fed is a good antenna no matter what way you hang them
I do TenTennas. Well built piece of kit for very reasonable expense. I doubt I'll ever buy another.

I have at least an S6-8 noise floor at the qth. Wil the choke help that on the radio end?
Jason, would you check 3980 and see what the SWR is showing. Keep up the great videos AB4O
Check 3980?
