Count myself lucky to figure out some of this before the vid dropped. Personally, I had a harder time with Gotthard compared to Bob. These are the only two I faced so far. On normal I beat Bob at lv65 on normal and lv 70 on hard. Count myself lucky to get a fairly consistent chain attack
same for me. Had a chain attack set up to always get amazing rating. Rex always self reactivates and my attackers don't trigger CA when going past 100. Nikol on heal duty and reactivating everyone except himself in CA. Accessories and Gems set up are fairly similar in this vid. Didn't bother with resisting sleep or binds for Bob. I just used A's limited use visions to burn out the CA seal timer before it gets refreshed. If the seal ends during vision then I get a slightly larger window of opportunity to build meter. The moment CA is full I use it before its get sealed again. I can get this to happen often enough to win and this usually happens when Bob is down to 30% life.
Thanks for sharing! I beat Abaasy the first time then I had damn bad luck not getting any Unity Order for about 8 fights and the damned dragon trashed me all those times.
Nikol is consistently the only one left standing for me, he’s so spongey that I tend to use him as a revive tank If only everyone would stop taking the aggro from him
Yay I have almost the exact same chain attack set up I found by myself. Except I gave the 1.5x multiplier to Matthew since I always wanna have power charge, shulk gets Fiona chain order cuz I didn’t have ** yet, and yeah With this, every single round I can go Matthew(1.5x multiplier, powercharge/break) - glimmer (99%, buffs) - a (melia chain, buffs), rex(ghondor chain, damage). It does less damage than the strat you’ve shown, but it’s 100% consistent, unless some party members are down
after 32 hours of playing future redeemed, i finally 100% the maps, characterals, enemypaedia and collectopaedia before beating Alpha, i also have two save file 1. no na'el, 2. with na'el. Rex just shreds superbosses like a wet paper. now its difficult to go back to the base game since you have to use fusion arts to even get the same amount of damage that rex and mathew can do with just a single arts.
“Especially Bob. Fuck Bob.” I agree, Bob needs to be sparking beheaded dude he seals the chain attack gauge every turn Anyway here’s my setup Matthew - Increase Crit Damage Bonus by 150 percentage points during Chain Attack(I also use When Chosen, give 15 TP to all allies and reduce 10 from own TP) A - Increase Crit Chance by 30 percentage points during Chain Attack Nikol - Guarantee Bravo when completing an order + Increases Defender Aggro by 50% and grants Attack Up to all allies Glimmer - During Chain Attack, reduce enemy physical defense by 75 percentage points Shulk - Refill Chain Gauge and give all allies Power Charge Rex - Multiplies TP when first in line to attack, and makes all attacks crit [REDACTED] - When character would usually complete an order, prevents order from completing, letting you select another + Increases Damage Ratio by 100 percentage points and gives all allies crit rate up Edit: Isn’t Rex and Glimmer a stronger unity? It gives all allies crit rate up by 20% and crit damage up by 50 percentage points which is really useful for Rex
No, the Rex and Glimmer isn't stronger because of how the Multipliers work. It's the fact that the Topple and Launch Bonus is seperate from the Crit damage multiplier so lemme give an example assuming we deal 100 damage with Rex and it Crits. With the Rex & Glimmer Passive: 100 Damage X (1.25 (Crit modifier) + 0.5 (Rex Skill) + 0.5 (Unity Combo) + 1.5 (Crit Damage Buff Chain Order) + 0.35 (Analyze Weakness)) = 410 With Rex & A Passive: 100 Damage X 2.5x (Unity Combo) X ((1.25 (Crit modifier) + 0.5 (Rex Skill) + 1.5 (Crit Damage Buff Chain Order) + 0.35 (Analyze Weakness)) = 900 By stacking a different modifier, you receive a higher overall input in damage. Investing too much in one direction will reduce your overall damage (And keep in mind that this doesn't include anything like reducing Enemy Phys Defence)
@@JBspherefreak Yes. However it is usually quite difficult to land a Break in the first place, which means crit damage, while weaker, will happen more often and thus be able to pump out more numbers. Edit: Also you put the Crit Damage up Chain Order as 1.5, but it’s actually 150 because the text says percentage points, also known as a flat increase. You did the same error with the Unity Combo, the Rex skill (i assume it’s the one that increases his crit chance and crit damage) and the Analyse Weakness gem (assuming it’s at tier 5), which again, all say percentage points- a flat increase by that number. So the math would actually be like this: 100 Damage X (1.25 (Crit Modifier) + 50 (Rex Skill) + 50 (Unity Skill) + 150 (Crit Damage Up Chain Order) + 40 (Analyse Weakness gem) = A grand total of 415. You were off by 5, according to my calculations. I may have gone a little overboard on that buildup, but at least the true value is known.

Nikol- Guaranteed Amazing (but I literally never use him) Glimmer- Increase everyone’s TP and ensure attacks are unblockable. Shulk- Multiply Chain Attack damage ratio by 1.5 every time he’s used.
