    Hello Sir , I have one doubt . do we always have to mention frequency on first contact?
    Like you mentioned
    for EG. Hyderabad tower VT-AAA on 122.250
    or it can be Hyderabad tower VT-AAA and than the transmission.

      As per rule u should mention in first contact but now a days even in exams examiner says not to mention the freq.

      Any situation where u feel ur aircraft needs to land immediately that situation is mayday else where u r getting panicked but doesn't need landing immediately because of any situation use pan pan

      yes.... but in america... they are not very strict over the phraseology.... they get rtr licence after doing 1hr class only.... so that is why captain transmitted cactus fifteen four nine...

      @@captainclasses9761 not really, the procedures for call signs are a bit different in the US. American 1610 is transmitted as American sixteen-ten, Southwest 112 is transmitted as southwest one twelve. This is the standard procedure.

    Sir i had a doubt in MAYDAY call. As the aircraft climbs out of runway and suffers engine failure the pilot gives a distress call and the controller directs it to l and in the nearest airport but why there is no such information of fuel jettison ( Fuel Dumping ) as the aircraft is well above the MLW ? Do pilots immediately turn and lands the aircraft or this process is carried out ? Because with too heavy weight upon landing aircraft will definitely suffer massive structural damage or runway overshoot .

      That's why we say that we will commence emergency/crash landing... Fuel dumping is done when ur aircraft can fly but due to some system failure u can not proceed to ur destination and ur aircraft weight is more than it shud be... So fuel jettison is carried out but not in case of emergency landing.... Even if ur flap is stucked then also we burn out fuel to bring the aircraft at MLW

      DEAR ,
      IF WE DONT HAVE CONTACT WITH ATC ...THEN ONLY WE HAVE TO TRANSMIT ON CURRENT FREQUENCY AND THEN AGAIN ON 121.5 MHZ , BUT IN THIS VIDEO WE R IN CONTACT WITH ATC ....SO NO NEED TO TRANSMIT ON 121.5 MHZ

      When the contact with ATC goes missing then only we can transmit on distress frequency i.e. 121.5 MHZ. Also with that u can squawk 7700 on your transponder.

    Sir question has 2 parts like
    (a) fire in engine emergency landing at ......
    (b) fire extinguisher has nullified the fire and continue flight path
    Toh yeah 2nd part kese handle kare

But I have question that suppose, we write this format in RTR exam in case of any distress & urgency specially i am telling about fire on engine. But suppose after this question if the question comes that The Fire was minor and you are able to extinguish the fire and decided to proceed as per flight plan. Take Action. In this case how we write please reply sir...and plss write the answer below for this, It will help me a lot plss sir...

    sir, I didn't get your position report. Since aircraft is 25nm from Bhopal in easterly heading, isn't the route gonna be W20S instead of W20?

      we have crossed Bhopal and after bhopal we have to follow w20 till our destination so when the a/c is 25 nm from BPL in this position aircraft will be flying w20 since we are going from delhi to hyderabad....

    Sir,
    I think you forgot to state that we have to report the aircraft type as well while giving out a distress signal (mayday) after transmitting the frequency.
