Guest access is very handy - there is one downside however - in Teams you cannot set Guest Account expiry. This means that once a contractor has been given access as a Guest, you will have to manually remove them at the end of the project/class/etc. The workaround this this is to use Active Directory to create an identity for them and give that identity access to the Team. In AD you can set account expiration. That process is a bit more complex (and annoying :) - but in higher security environments it may be required for governance. Hopefully this will be a future Teams enhancement.

Thanks for this video. I followed your steps and enabled access, but when I try to add an outside user it tells me it can't find the user. I even went as far as adding them to the guest list in Microsoft Teams admin and assigned them to the Team I am trying to add them to. That didn't work either.Our migration to Teams from Google Workspace has been pretty painful. Things like MFA not working for all users, calendars not syncing between Teams and Outlook. The Microsoft Docs are not up to date with all the new previews. It's just a mess.

3:23 - This is the part where I'm stuck on. If it doesn't show "guest access", then you don't have enough admin rights. When I transitioned from 365 Family to 365 Business Standard, the Global Admin Rights was not set as a default. I had to escalate to demonstrate "I really needed Global Admin Rights".
