Random backstory: mystic cave zone is the past for carnival night being the most confusing zone in the whole game. Eggmans master emerald super emeralds and chaos emeralds combined turned mystic cave into carnival night implying that egg man was at angel island the whole time before sonic even got there and changed all of the stages to a revamped version of them selves

Opinion warning!
Some parts, such as a couple seconds into the beginning, sound so good, it really does give off that mystical vibe, fitting the name of the zone quite well.
Although, I feel some instruments just don't sound good here. A little too heavy for their high pitch for it to balance out and give a good sound in my opinion.
I think I still prefer the Genesis one better, just because the instruments fit better together and give more of a consistent feel throughout the whole song.
Good remix for what it is though, nice job!
