- Listen to the soothing monotone voice of me (Nic), your guide, as I show you around my engraving bench. This video would only interest engraving nerds.....or maybe weirdos who want to listen to me for 7mins..who am I to judge?
Check out some of the work I make on this bench at: picturesinmeta...

Nice setup! I've been binge-listening to the podcast. I heard your episode a few days ago. Congrats!
Thank you so much...it's an ever changing space for me that's for sure. Glad you've been listening to the podcast and managed to catch my small bit :)
Electronics guy here. I love seeing different workbench setups, including the non-electronics ones. Thank you for sharing, this was really cool to see. The vise is particularly neat.
😊😊
My pleasure. Glads you enjoyed it. The vice is a specialty one for hand engraving :)
Sickkkkkkkk
Lokkkkingggg goood
Thank you :)
Do you know where to get a desk like this? I’ve seen only a couple people online with this setup but I’ve never seen this on a website, one which has the center open. Looks optimal for engraving or setting
It's a plain old office desk that I cut a hole out of
Hey Nic, I was wondering how did you rig up that camera to your microscope? Is that a tripod setup you created yourself?
The camera is attached to a magic arm (articulated camera arm) thats clamped to my scope arm. This brand is Manfrotto. Its a heavy duty one to take the weight of camera and macro lens (which is a bit weighty)
@@picturesinmetal9210 Hey Nic, I had one more question. What type of macro are using? I am looking into getting one. Is there any other lenses you recommend as well?
@@mohammedhossain1413 Its a 100mm Canon macro lens. It does the job for my videos and jewellery photography but it's quite old so I'm sure there are better ones out there now. A mirrorless camera cuts down on weight and size. The 100mm lens just means I don't have to get insanely close to get a good shot.
@@picturesinmetal9210 Appreciate the help, my sister has an only Nikon DSLR, I'll go ahead and mess around with it. Look forward to seeing more of your videos.
@@mohammedhossain1413 my pleasure!Good luck in your endeavour in getting some footage :)
amazing toys 🔥🔥
Thank you :)
Hey Nic, cool video man thanks for sharing. Glad i found your channel. I was wondering what kind of lense you use on your dslr camera?
Thanks mate, my pleasure. Its a 100mm Canon macro lens
