I feel a bit bad for Mackey here because he was basically set up to fail. They tried Wilson-Cap in the comics and it didn’t work there but for some reason they thought it would be different here? Why? Basically everything that failed with the last couple phases failed in the comics first and instead of taking that comparatively cheaper lesson to heart Fiege and the rest plowed on a head anyway and have lost millions. They could have given Bucky the shield like they’d been leading up to all through the Cap movies (he has the same power set as Rogers already) and then given Mackey his own solo movies as the Falcon. They would have been left with the exact same number of black characters as they have now, but Mackey (and Wilson) might have actually been successful
Passing the mantle has never really worked. It didn't work in the comics either. Recasting doesn't really work either. It just divides the fanbase, it doesn't matter if it's in the comic books or tv/movie.

What I’d do is have the Beyonder bring back the original Avenger by pulling them out of their timeline. At the end, do a soft reboot recasting the characters but carrying their back stories over.

And honestly, Chris Evans has been open about his political views at least since 2016. All of the MCU Avengers cast has. I liked the original Home Spider-Man trilogy. I really would have liked to see a more grounded Spider-Man storyarc with this new trilogy. But I guess not. I'm starting to see the problem with having everything linked. No story or character can simply breathe on their own. Every story has to tie into something greater. And that's a flaw and a hindrance.
Falcon isn't a super soldier. Even if he was, he wouldn't be able to do half of what they show him doing. Doing a flip and cutting that car Red Hulk throws at him in half? Nah, not how physics work. Those high speed hero landings would turn him into paste. Just stick to doing what Falcon does, fly around and shoot guns, missiles, drones, etc.. Let him be his own thing.

I feel a bit bad for Mackey here because he was basically set up to fail. They tried Wilson-Cap in the comics and it didn’t work there but for some reason they thought it would be different here? Why?
Basically everything that failed with the last couple phases failed in the comics first and instead of taking that comparatively cheaper lesson to heart Fiege and the rest plowed on a head anyway and have lost millions.
They could have given Bucky the shield like they’d been leading up to all through the Cap movies (he has the same power set as Rogers already) and then given Mackey his own solo movies as the Falcon. They would have been left with the exact same number of black characters as they have now, but Mackey (and Wilson) might have actually been successful

Passing the mantle has never really worked. It didn't work in the comics either. Recasting doesn't really work either. It just divides the fanbase, it doesn't matter if it's in the comic books or tv/movie.

What I’d do is have the Beyonder bring back the original Avenger by pulling them out of their timeline. At the end, do a soft reboot recasting the characters but carrying their back stories over.

Unfortunately, Marvel's problems go deeper than lacking a particular set of actors. They need good writers and directors as well as a coherent direction that the fans actually want. But they refuse to hire the former and they can't fix their eyes on any particular goal. Deadpool and Wolverine is probably the last good Marvel movie.

And honestly, Chris Evans has been open about his political views at least since 2016. All of the MCU Avengers cast has. I would have popped smoke on the MCU long time ago, especially when they started making campaign ads for Hillary Clinton, if it wasn’t for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the Russo brothers. No matter what BS Chris and the rest of them regurgitated, I was at the point that I felt the need to finish the story arc. After Endgame, I was done with them. Although, I abhor all of the Avengers cast political views, I would not be opposed to seeing Chris Evans play Steve Rogers Cap again. He had the best trilogy outside of the Avengers ensemble movies.

I liked the original Home Spider-Man trilogy. I really would have liked to see a more grounded Spider-Man storyarc with this new trilogy. But I guess not. I'm starting to see the problem with having everything linked. No story or character can simply breathe on their own. Every story has to tie into something greater. And that's a flaw and a hindrance.

Falcon isn't a super soldier. Even if he was, he wouldn't be able to do half of what they show him doing. Doing a flip and cutting that car Red Hulk throws at him in half? Nah, not how physics work. Those high speed hero landings would turn him into paste. Just stick to doing what Falcon does, fly around and shoot guns, missiles, drones, etc.. Let him be his own thing.
The box office of " Brave New World" will dictate the direction of Sam Wilson.

I don't care who Captain America is. If the story is good then it's ok.. but that's the problem.. if they have to have Evans and RDJ back to me this shows the writers inability to come up with anything new or good. And if that's the case, they probably shouldn't come back. it works both ways, if the writing is good, it doesn't matter who is up there... the same if the writing is bad and they bring back old cast members (but in this case it will be much worse for the franchise)

I'm sorry, but Sam Wilson is NOT Captain America. Not going to accept that. He was a fantastic Falcon and Mackie did a wonderful job as that character. But Capt. America with wings is so stupid. He needs to ditch the wings and be a super soldier. Hmmm, now whom else could take that role? I wonder. How about BUCKY!!!! And to add something else, Robert Downey Jr. as Doom is such a bad idea and I am not excited to see that. Marvel just shows how desperate they are. Just listen to the fans for god sake.
