I'm so glad that there's more variety in online now. I'm constantly seeing new combos/characters and it's really fun!
Even playing optimally there’s tons of choices comparing to the waluigi wiggler era. Much more enjoyable playing online now

@@axoluna7 months late but i'd assume if he is jperm he doesn't acknowledge it cuz he wouldn't want an audience that wouldn't engage with shortcat (cubing community) to find his channel and give him a bunch of subs that he will either lose over time or get no engagement from
the blue shell taking a short cut then red shell was just absolutely brutal. classic mario kart lol
oh man, the double shock dodge and double bill shortcut (12:00 race) is insane. and that's with sub-optimal bagging (lots of star hits and delays). but despite being half a lap behind you brought it to first. just insane. well done.
I definitely was not expecting to get 1st place because of how badly it was going at first. But even without the 2nd shock dodge, I still might have gotten 1st! The yellow yoshi dodged the blue shell because of the shock too. That's the power of bagging on a track with tons of shortcuts!

The only thing that bugs me about the DLC tracks is all the brown trees in Vancouver, it’s like the one thing BC famously does not have lmao. It’s a coniferous rainforest and 99.9% of the trees are evergreens, and there’s also a bunch of cherry blossom trees in the city but those are round and brown at any point

I’m 100% sure you’ve already gotten a million comments like this, but I’m just gonna say it anyway. I love you videos, they are very well edited without being OVER edited, where there’s stuff on the screen every two seconds. I learn new things almost every video, like new shortcuts, new things about stats, different strategies, etc,. You are very calming to listen to, where you can be hype in some moments, but it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Scripted videos, or not, they are all fun to watch. You are my favorite Mario Kart TH-camr, and currently up there for one of my favorite TH-camrs in general. You definitely deserve way more subs, but to be fair you’re growing quite quickly, so I can’t really complain. Anyways, thank you for making these videos, they bring me a lot of joy to watch.

That Blue Shell dodge in the beginning of the video was God-like, too bad you forgot to apply that in the heat of the moment on the last race but honestly both those races anyways were insane. I was bummed you got Mario Kartted that race that you actually pulled off the Blue Shell dodge with the lying Mushroom because that would have been probably one of your Top 10 Mario Kart Victories, that was already a Top 10 Mario Kart moment from you for sure. I was casually watching this video while I was having breakfast and thought I'd just drop a comment to let you know how much I enjoyed your playthrough. I've been struggling to get good positions in worldwide races and I'm trying to get better. I love how you explain the decisions you're making throughout the race and stay calm all the way through. Other videos where people spend the whole race just screaming things such as "NOOO! UGH! YO!" don't teach me much, they just stress me out.

I can't really explain how happy it makes me seeing you actually use the coin. Troy will somehow have like a turn and a half lead with like 3 Coins while he's holding a Coin and a Banana and he won't use it until he gets his 500% guaranteed Double Item Box.
LOL thanks! But hey cut him some slack, Troy would still beat me without using coins thanks to his incredible game sense, sniping accuracy, and bam shock dodge

I like how the upper route in Squeaky Clean Sprint lets you take an alternate path above the sink at the start. I don't think it's faster, but it's neat.

i feel like on the ship map its best to take the bottom route and drift down the hole, but release the turbo mid air, it kinda feels to me like you are getting the speed boost in the "air" (water) but releasing it early enables you to go middle and have a better angle at the exit plus the items from the clams, though i am probably wrong about the mid air boost, but at least try it folks!

Your videos got me wanting to play more Mario Kart, where it's main purpose before is just for multiplayer during gatherings.
Went ahead and played online right after watching your video. I'm just at 1.5k when I finished, and I dunno if it's just me, but after the most recent DLC update, the game loves to give me coins when I'm at first, leaving me totally defenseless. I can only get defense items on the second item slot. It's really annoying and that caused me to lose several supposed wins.

Love the vids on recent mario kart! Random question, I've run all gold, gold kart, gold wheels, gold gliders, cuz it's optimal no matter what stats say. What's the best character for it? I've played a lot of wiggler recently with it, but who's statistically best with it?
The gold stuff has such low mini turbo that I'll have to say yoshi (and characters with the same stats) are best to get more mini turbo

I have been trying every cart with Petey trying to find one that feels right.
The clown car was surprisingly satisfying, as well as the inkstriker.
I hope wave 6 buffs superheavies, otherwise my big man will be bad forever lol
Super heavies had their time to shine before wave 4, with dry Bowser and waluigi tier being the only optimal characters. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't become amazing again, but they're definitely still good enough since they never got nerfed.
Also I like Petey on the sneeker and monster tires for jokes
Wait maybe this is a dumb question but I'm still over here playing on the Wii U. Does the Switch version let you stack item boxes if you hit multiple?
Yes and no. Item boxes of the same "set" have a cool down before you can grab another one.
For example if you quickly run into 2 item boxes from the same row of item boxes, the 2nd one will not give you an item. If you do that really slow, you get 2 items.
An exception to this is highly separated item boxes. Examples include the first set of donut plains 3, and moving item boxes.
