I just finished installing it on my 2024 Wildtrak and I have some tips (install 20-40 min):
- You don't need to unscrew the module that's already there. That would have taken me HOURS!
- You can simply pull out the bottom cable with your fingers and connect the harness.
- Zipties were a bit tricky but you just need to fidget with them until you are able to get them in. I started from the back of the car to the front of the car. I worked my way under the module until I was able to pull it out from the other side with my other hand.
- I had a small ziptie I used to tie down the loose cables.
This video was extremely helpful, thank you!
Thank you for the tips 🙏💯
Thanks for the video. Just installed this today. Took less then an hour after watching this.
@@kyleNL that’s awesome 👏 💯
Nice video. I’ve never seen anyone else cover this part. Something I will be looking into.
thank you for watching 🙏.. it was so unfortunate that we had to install this 😪... and always a pleasure talking with you at The Bronco Nation channel 😁
I have been looking at this .. was wondering how it worked , great video!
Thank you so much for watching! We decided to make a video on this because there was not alot of videos out there. Hope this helps! 🙌
Thanks for the video. As someone had asked previously regarding doors off, I just wanted to clarify; will it go off if someone reaches in while doors are off? I had previously installed a Clifford proximity alarm and it was hooked up to the tail gate trigger. Unfortunately, when you remove the doors all the triggers are disconnected. In otherwards, someone can reach in pop the hood, grab items, etc and the alarm wouldn't go off. So I'm wondering if this solves that issue by being connected directly to factory alarm and is triggered when reaching in...
I was advised that I could not install and so I had my local Ford Dealer do it ... 2024 Bronco Sport. They had an outside concern come and install. I agreed on a price which was very high and especially then labor and the very, very, very short time installing the module. $505.00 with a $50 gift card from them as a new Ford Bronco owner. The module itself was only around $250.00 and tax on then total .... but he was 50 minutes late in getting to the dealership and worked all of about 15-20 minutes at the most installing. SO over $250.00 labor 😞and no physical verbal instructions and especially with the sensitivity settings where in the manual it say have a Ford Tech do that? $$$ for sure!! I have easy access to the sensitivity dial so just have to spend a little time adjusting. Knocked on the window and had not knock a lot harder then I wished to do. Also, my module is under then dash on the drivers side .... easy but a harder position than the glove box area. Thanks for the video .... kick myself for not doing myself 😞 9 July 2024
That’s great! But I noticed on the clicker there was already a remote start 2x button
@@danwark8714 we don’t have remote start feature
Thanks so much for filming this! I just recently ordered and received this part for my Badlands after it was broken into.
If you already have remote start, does this module re-map the key fob shortcut for activating it???
Your welcome 🙏 … that’s a good a question, we don’t know cause we don’t have a remote start feature
Ok so I’m going to install my modules and the flashing led also. Hopefully depending on the weather this weekend. My question is after you activated your alarm system through the engine cycle, did your Ford Pass app show that you now have the alarm and do you get notifications on the ford pass app.
Thanks for watching, no it did not show on your Ford Pass App but it will update your app automatically. When your alarm goes on it will now show on your Ford Pass app saying "triggered alarm"
@@TheBroncoAdventures Thank you for your reply. Keep up the adventures!
Hi thanks for the video just what I was looking for I followed the eBay link to buy one it’s says dealer needs to program it , did yours work right out of the box or do I need to get it programmed first
Hi thank you 🙏 we did not bring it to the dealer and we just reboot the system after we installed it. We mentioned it at 5:31 seconds mark
Thank you very much
Great video guys, keep it up!
Thanks for watching and thank you 🙏💯
do you know If a 2023 ford mustang comes with this?
Thanks for watching, we’re not really sure but you can ask the Ford dealership 😎
@@TheBroncoAdventures 🥲🥲
Hello you located the position in the mustang? I am with the same question @@TheBroncoAdventures
Looking at your keyfab, it appeard that u did have a remote start button on it. Was it not activated? I doubt your truck came from thr dealer with no no remote start. Im still trying to figure out out to work the basic alarm. I like the product. I sal like that its a ford product and wont boid any warranty. But my advice t you guys. IF YOU NEED THAT ITS TIME TO MOVE OUT OF CALI . ..... another great video . Thanks!!!!
Thank you 🙏 before the perimeter alarm our key fob remote start wouldn’t work, we can only remote start it using the our Ford Pass App. We thought about moving out of this state but work is hard to find 😭
I have the wildtrak, both the keyfab, and fordpass starts the truck. I had the truck 🎉 at a custom shop having thr sub reactivated ( see Enfig car stereo) i get an alert in my phone that a door was opened. I didnt even know i had that feature. Would have bped if ford gave me a hard copy of the owners manual
@@anthonygallo3576 cool, the package we got was a Big Bend Sasquatch but no aux switches, front camera, and with an 8inch screen. Thats probably why our remote start key fob doesnt work until upgrading to the perimeter alarm 😁
U just cant push the start button in thr fab 2x. U first have to push the door lock button
@@anthonygallo3576 we actually never tried that before with the upgraded alarm system, cool to know
Hello, how did you find the place to connect the module, I bought this part for my 2024 Mustang and I can't find where to connect it. I appreciate your help.
Hi we don’t know much about the Mustang, but you can try checking underneath the glove compartment or underneath the driver side dashboard
You guys are awesome!
Thank you so much for the compliment and for watching!! 🙌
I have the factory alarm and fob remote starter. Would i have the shock sensor also? I can't find the box??? 2016 ford edge
if you cant find the black box, there's a very good chance you just have the regular perimeter alarm
@@RealityMusic912 your right, I only had the factory system. I purchased the shock sensor. It was plug and play. 30 minutes to install it. It's all good now!
Thx for the video! To clarify / is the alarm you installed the perimeter PLUS (as per Ford site $250) ? Because my Bronco as others do as well I believe say it has a perimeter alarm on the window sticker BUT I have no idea how to activate it . Can someone explain what it is that comes standard vs this mod? I have a 2024 Bronco Heritage 4 door … Thx so much!
perimeter alarm is the basic alarm system that has protection for doors, hood, and trunk if opened. perimeter plus ads impact sensors if the vehicle is hit or jolted.
if you have a black box with a knob to adjust sensitivity then your vehicle has the perimeter plus but is not activated.
did you disconnect the battery?
No we did not
So my question is this.....
If you remove the doors and alarm the system, does it respond to shock or jolts from someone climbing into the Bronco?
That’s a great question, we haven’t tried it yet, but soon cause tube door season is approaching 🙌😎
@@TheBroncoAdventures Well keep us posted!!
It will trigger the alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity to shocks and jolts as well
@@DUBcars411thx. How do you adjust the sensitivity?
Change out your cabin filter right where you were at with the alarm and buy some interior armor all wipes PaLease
Thank you for watching 🙏 …. We bought K&N cabin filter and changed it and cleaned it after KOH 😎💯🙌
@@TheBroncoAdventuresget some p&s xpress interior and some Costco microfibers much better than armor all
Isn't it your car already has remote start feature? I notice the 2x button on the remote. Anyway, Cheer for this rare and great content 🎉
Thanks for watching, it has the remote start in the controller but we are not equipped 💯🙏
Would this installation work on a Ford Maverick?
That’s a good question, we have no idea
The Ford accessories website lists the 2022-2024 Maverick as compatible.
@theBronco Adventures ; would this work on a 1994 ford Bronco ?
