- My journey into FPV drones started 4 months ago when I decided, that I have to learn to fly like the guys in the videos on youtube. The beginning was about to practice, try, fail, crash then repair and repeat, but man, I did not regret it. I bought a DJI FPV drone then sold it and decided that I'm going to build a custom one. I'm rather a cinematic type than a freestyle so I knew I have to climb those Italian alps the Dolomites and dive those mountains. So here I am with my first cinematic fpv video. Freaking amazing video @DavidZalka! I never could appreciate FPV until cinematic footage and better cameras came about! Now as you’ve shown us all, absolutely NOTHING is impossible! Fantastic drone, camera and post technique are mastered along with the music score, in this brilliantly produced video! The time and hyper lapses, and the reverse shots (whether done in post or not) are simply mind blowing! I will also be going to the Dolomites in 2 weeks and plan to do the same. Just like you, I just started, for me it's 3 months of FPV. So I have two questions, please: what type of battery did you use? And what time were you at the spots?

@@DavidZalka There are some misunderstandings in our communication... 😄 Were you there at the morning before sunrise or in the evening? I'm not sure what's the best time to flight in this area because I don't want to disturb other people.
@@bl00dr4k Depends the location and weather! You are not gonna disturb anyone cause there is barely no one on this locations :) Seceda sunset, Alpe De Siusi sunrise, Tre cime sunrise, but you can try both :)

I have a question. I want to start flying FPV, but I don't know if I should start directly with an advanced Fpv drone or start with the DJI Avata for example. Do you have any advice for me starting with it?
Start on simulatot, then with a bnf fpv drone which is not dji… thanks though!

Very Nice, I hikes alot of places in your video like 2 weeks ago. But one question, how do you get the range is it with the custom 2600 mah? I I tried to mountain dive my DC5 in the past, but by the time I got lik 3/4 of the mountain ascending it, my lipo was only at 3.7V so I had to come down to soon
I used my custom made Li-Ion 6s 2600mah pack. There are several things to consider: When you climbing the mountain you are drawing a lot of amps so voltage sag appears quickly but when you start the dive it recovers then you can fly back. My voltage after landing recovers to 3.8V almost all the time. Practice places where you can go for the quad first if you crash :)

@@DavidZalka I know, but which battery exactly did you use for the LiIon? Sony VTC5/A/D, or another brand? 😊 I want to buy a LiIon by myself and I'm not sure if I should choose the Sony VTC6 like everybody else.

Ohh sure, that’s what I actually do now but I really tought you used the drone’s camera as dji posted you on their official web page and even emailed the video on the newsletter. It is a great video btw!
I used DJI FPV for only 1-2 shots then DJI FPV system in my custom built drones to record the rest! @@walasfilms

The aperture scene seems stange / unreal / digitalized... and there are some saccades during some runs (perhaps because you are slowing donw too much some scenes) but the plans are very well fimed. For me true also that a film full fpv is a little boring... you should probably mix more some cinematic rushes (you also get and M2 ...) and some fpv ones. See the work done by drone my life on you tube. For me his balance between the two is more attractive.
Too fast moving, cheap effects, quite inappropriate and unnecessary when all one wants is to admire that stunning mountainscape.
You can find tons of other videos about the Dolomites which are slow paced and relaxed so I made mine this way for a purpose! But thanks for yout opinion! 🙌🏻
The beginning is really very cool but soon after.... it's like another low-quality video from tic-toc. Sorry to say that
