That guy bought you a ticket because he thought you were going up towards the mountains via chairlift and then ski from there. Most of the people there are poor and it was a non-refundable ticket. If I were you, I would have paid that person. Anyway, a little knowledge of the culture would be very helpful to you bro. Enjoy your trip.
