To be fair most regulations are extremely helpful for conservation. If you leave it to the public to regulate themselves that would go terrible. The bad 10% can quickly ruin everything for the 90%.
also anyone going out with a rifle definitely needs some type of hunters ED.
It takes about 30 minutes to pass and you're good for a lifetime and if you can't pass it then you need it even more honestly

    • @alfaq654

@@johnbracewell3700 but everyone already does take hunter saftey. What this guy is suggesting is either making hunters take it in every state they want to hunt in, or force states to share this information with each other (which I'm not necessarily against tbh).
But I can tell you unequivocally that you cannot buy a hunting license in CA without proof of hunters saftey. I took a long break from hunting that started before CDFW digitized everything and when I decided I wanted to start hunting again 5 years ago, I had to find my certificate of completion from 1998 and bring it into Bass Pro before I could get a license. Now that I'm in the system, I don't have to show it every year. I assume most states are this way as well.

I traveled to WV and had a HUGE issue as a kid over my hunter's safety card having 1 blob of ink that covered 1 number of my birth year. I traveled 800 miles to hunt and told the lady that I was hunting tomorrow with, or without, their $300 stamps. Now it's all digital.

In Alabama you have a hunters ED certificate number you need that or you have to get a supervised hunting license.
If you have a supervised license you have to stay within 10 feet of someone with a hunters ED certificate

In my state u have to give the hunter safety course id number to get an unsupervised license. It's on the hunting license. If u don't have it u have to b supervised and the game warden will check that.

Hey! Elmer fuds out there, if nothing happens when you pull the trigger don’t look down the barrel. But if your friend points it at you remember to stick your finger in the barrel . Gun safety is not “hold my beer while I shoot at those bushes that just moved. “ some of the idiots out there should go to a safety class.

They have records in PA. They dont require proof at time of purchase, they ask if you've had one. However, if they wanted to, they could look into it later and fine you. Its a weird system. Should just be a stamp on your drivers license or something.

I'm 49, never had a hunters safely corse. Fortunately I was old enough that I never had to do this. I started shooting when I was five. Started hunting when I was six. I was trained by my dad and his brothers. Where I'm from, guns and hunting are apart of our everyday life. So your telling me that you want the government to be more involved in your life. I know tons of people that took the hunters safely corse. I wouldn't be caught in the woods with any of them. The hunters safely corse is nothing but a way for the government to get more money out of you. It's a joke to say because someone took a corse. They are now safe to go hunt.

In CO you must carry your hunters ed card with you and they always ask for it in CO. If you buy a lic online you must enter the hunters ed card no or date on the card

When you buy your first license in Iowa your hunter safety certificate is required. It is then put on file for the rest of your life. Personal responsibility dictates you keep up with laws and read available docs online. All the hunter safety material is available for free. I do agree though that people need to be held more accountable, it’s just like driving. If you never miss your renewal you never have to retest and clearly there are people on the road who need to retest
