It's funny seeing two set be like "wow you see something wrong ALREADY!?" That's what most of their roasts are like Video plays for half a second Brett and Eddie burst into uncontrollable laughter
I just *love* that the cellists were a) enormously fair and generous to the actors, b) kind about their minor roasts (grills?), and c) pretty hot. I got the teeniest hint that our boys were a tad disappointed not to get a full on roast with all the trimmings 😉 but as a very amateur cello player, I love that the film had actually taken the trouble to get so much right. Respect to the cello is goood. Nice to see a different flavour of roast. Very tasty!
Yeah I noticed too that Eddy tried a bit to get a roast going on but then probably just accepted that this is going to be a respectful take this time 😂👍
But it's also because the actors were actually guided on what to do so they weren't roast-worthy. Kudos to the production team of the movie as well as the actors 🤩

Easiest instrument to fake: "Piano" Pianists: heavily triggered after watching an actor sit in the same position with their hands in the middle of the keyboard while the recording has full scale runs in the 2nd and 7th octaves.......
They just said it is easy to fake, because you needn't necessarily show the hand. And when showing the hands, the can easily use a double. But it is embarrassing when the "fake" this wrong.

Thank to TwoSet violin I got to know Pablo even when we are from the same country and the same cityyyy, it's a shame how first class classical musicians even from your same country can go unnotice by the main public :(
I haven't played cello in about 3 or 4 years. Watching this, me seeing pretty much everything the cellists were seeing, I was relieved, lol. Maybe I haven't lost it completely and really can pick it back up one day :)
@1:29 That Chinese proverb means one minute on stage takes ten years of work, and the work refers to all your training and exercise of the skill that it requires you to perform that one minute on stage. The piece itself might only take you a month to learn, but your technical skills takes years to develop. In the "ten years" you might learnt how to read music, how to play your instrument, the history of music and the background of this composer. All of them are small factors which contribute to your performance on stage. This saying is to tell people, that when you see someone succeeds, you should know that it is because they have worked hard. If you don't do all the hard works that take years to do and fancy to reach their achievement without putting any effort in, that would not be possible.

About 台上一分钟 台下十年功 it indicates that some people don’t see the hard work behind a simple performance, this is what most Asian parents say to their children, I was also told this it’s a ancient Chinese thing
The piece in the beginning scene is the J.C Bach/Henri Casadesus viola/cello concerto in C minor. I have played it before (I'm a violist) and what I find weird is that the girl on the left in the wide shot is the only one playing the piece correctly (correct bowings and fingerings) 🤔 the other girls are playing something...I have no idea what though 😂

The 1 minute on stage is 10 years of practice Chinese saying is usually referring to Chinese opera. More accurate is 10 minutes on stays requires 10 years of practice. In order to be able to perform a role in Chinese opera, it usually starts with kids at a very young age going through not just extremely strict training in singing but all the martial arts and acting skills. It takes at least ten years of hard practicing as an apprentice for a kid who may be able to take up a role in the opera company at the age of 15-16 or older. In the old days, these kids are sold to the opera company, and they are fed by the company, they often go through extreme physical and metal abuse and hardship from their trainer. That’s how hard it is.
Not only is that scene pretty decently accurate, the G Minor Ballade is exactly the correct piece to play in that situation because it's the kind of piece that a good pianist can play not being that warmed up and having not practiced in a while. It's not the hardest piece in the world, but people always love hearing it. Obviously, it's edited to be a 4 minute scene rather than 8-9 minutes. I also like that it's performed pretty poorly by professional standards and the piano is out of tune and quite sharp, like a piano lying around would be. The part where Brody starts the piece looks pretty true to the audio, too. Where I think he could have done better is in close-ups during the F# diminished arpeggios, his shoulders are completely still; it is really not possible to play that part without your shoulders bouncing and your arms being raised to some degree. I also don't think the sloppiness is believable for someone who's been out of practice. He's messing up all over the place in the easy slow parts but still doing the scales rather cleanly. That's not what an out-of-practice pianist sounds like. I should know. I could nail the G minor Ballade in in my teens, but hadn't practiced piano for like 15 years, and when I attempted to play it after years away from it, I did not sound like that at all. Don't worry, I'm practicing again. :)
