    Is this car known as Vauxhall Omega in the UK

    • @TURBOTRISTO
      @TURBOTRISTO  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So after a quick search the uk 1986 Vauxhall omega is more like out 1989 vn commodore, the holden commodore VL shares more in common with a Nissan r31 skyline

    Tristian, loved this educational video. Legend.
    I'd love you to have a camera crew to catch you doing this full time.
    I already knew about why we needed adjustable panhard bars because the 84-87 Civic, Crx and Integra have them.
    glad you'll be offering the VL ones on the spool up site, they look stoutly
    Wheel alignment will hopefully be minimally off.
    Excellent video 📹

      Big love!
      You're working hard to have that reality, you keep rising to the top 🤘
      I'll have to come down sometime to be a film crew to catch you in the wild.

  • @andrewwian4921

    G'day. When turboing a VL, if you replace the exhaust with a 3 inch system, apparently you have to put an adjustable pan hard rod in also because the new exhaust hits the original pan hard rod.

    • @TURBOTRISTO
      @TURBOTRISTO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes That is Also True, Most people Lower their car before they turbo it

  • @askannav2094
    @askannav2094 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Back in the day, before adjustable pan hard bars existed you could get away with redrilling the mounting hole on the body to lift the panhard bar higher up in the body !!!!

    • @TURBOTRISTO
      @TURBOTRISTO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's a pretty cool solution for the issue, you lose exhaust clearance though

    Errrr, Falcons are either leaf spring or have a Watts Link. A superior set up.
    Unless you lower your Crapadore excessivly the Panhard will not need an adjustment. Though raising the pivot point on the body will help far more than anything else. When a panhard goes through a very small arc the length does not significantly change.. Using heim joints will resolve more sideways than the rubber bushed OEM piece,, though then the brackets will break. Poly bushes are even worse.
    Yes,, I have seen it all. And raced a quick Sports Sedan with a Panhard. A Watts would have been superior but a lot more work to set up. The longer the panhard the better.
    Though the very short factory one on my 71 Ford Galaxie has about 1/8" of sideways movement in the normal arc of use. I guess Ford knew what they were doing.
