it was a running gag: three times whenever Wakko went to "the doctor"(Yakko and Dot) and said that his parts were hurting camera would zoom inside those parts to show a cartoon. So after this "Goodnight everybody" episode actually ended because Fox wouldn't allow it

There’s something about the old animation style that made this show more cartoony and engaging.
