Up until relatively recently, the combat training, tactical training etc, was done by their mother service, the Army. Many Army traditions are still alive and well in the Air Force. On a trivia note, one of the most bad ass action stars ever was in the USAF, Air Police his AFSC. Namely a certain Chuck Norris. Other my family and my body failing me so I couldn't get past MEPS, I'd have followed my dad's and both my grandfathers in their footsteps. If you have the time make your own. A lot cheaper and you can change the recipe to you personal tastes. If you go extreme get the beef in bulk and make a big batch store in airtight containers and you only do it once per year.

I actually had a staff sergeant, When I was in, Female Marine , she was excellent at looking after her young Marines, when she knew our money was tight, and we were getting antsy to get out & blow off some steam, but of course, lack the funds to do so, She would sacrifice, and buy us a pizza & beer, and give us a deck of cards , to appease us & keep us out of trouble! She, was always looking out for us all, on another occasion, I had a new young marine enter our company, only 18 years young, with a young wife & a brand new baby, She knew he was struggling to get used to military life, adding the stresses of a young family, with low financial resources, She gave me a $100 to go buy him & the baby essentials, and had me deliver it all to his home, she wanted to remain anonymous. Low and moderate levels of caffeinated beverages show little-to-no dehydrating effects and even higher caffeine containing beverages (>500mg/day) are only shown to have SHORT TERM diuretic effects. That said, caffeine IS a drug and addiction to anything should not be underestimated. My bigger concern is usually the creamer, sugar, etc people add to said coffee.

When I was in, Female Marine , she was excellent at looking after her young Marines, when she knew our money was tight, and we were getting antsy to get out & blow off some steam, but of course, lack the funds to do so,
She would sacrifice, and buy us a pizza & beer, and give us a deck of cards , to appease us & keep us out of trouble!
She, was always looking out for us all, on another occasion, I had a new young marine enter our company, only 18 years young, with a young wife & a brand new baby, She knew he was struggling to get used to military life, adding the stresses of a young family, with low financial resources,
She gave me a $100 to go buy him & the baby essentials, and had me deliver it all to his home, she wanted to remain anonymous.

I even went so far as to have Christmas and New year's parties for the Marines not on leave....I remembered what it was like my first couple of holidays so far away from home, so I passed it on to junior Marines too.....when I retired, I had Marines I hadn't seen for years show up because of "my kindness" shown to them....I must have did something right...and I love every one of them...

indeed...I sometimes forget to drink in the office (except coffee...) and then I always wonder why the heck I've gotten so slow doing not very much...hint: coffee dehydrates....
@@Hunne2303 I have good news friend! Low and moderate levels of caffeinated beverages show little-to-no dehydrating effects and even higher caffeine containing beverages (>500mg/day) are only shown to have SHORT TERM diuretic effects.
That said, caffeine IS a drug and addiction to anything should not be underestimated.
My bigger concern is usually the creamer, sugar, etc people add to said coffee.
