I love how you guys honour recipes from all over the world in your channel. Gulab Jamun is one of my favourite Indian sweets ever and Katie did a great job! Just let it soak a bit longer in the syrup so that it becomes really soft and melts in the mouth. It tastes divine.

The ball ones fried, they should go directly into the sugar syrup.. Or else.. The get crunchy.. Which is not desirable.. It should be soft, smooth.. Sugary, dripping.. Oh it too 😋 yum
the gulab jamuns are normally supposed to be put in the hot sugar syrup right after being fried and not allowed to cool.......that's how it soaks the syrup up well.................

Fun fact - Sugar is called shakkar in Hindi. I am native Hindi speaker. I haven't used the word chini for sugar in my whole life.
