I made a small mistake. The last but one guy is William Marshall, and he’s 6’5. I’ve just written the wrong name. Not sure how.
I’m mark, from the north of England. I make all of my own templates and do all of my own research and edit all of my own content with keynote, and occasionally iMovie.
Music from the audio library: From Russia with Love - Huma-Huma
Ride of the Valkyries - Wagner

@@EvaLinds thank you 😊
So many great actors ...many now gone to the studio in the sky ...but their great movies live on..
I saw part 2 ,because I didn't know it was a 2 parter,sorry about that.
@@jamesfahy-pl2cv no need to apologise, I appreciate you
So where’s part one?
Audie Murphy was only 5' 6, but he was a giant.
Absolutely
Actually the average male heights in the 30s up through 40s ranged between 5'6 to 6 feet.
@@coleparker OK
@@allenatkins2263 Atkins surname. That is interesting coincidence in that my mother's maiden name was Atkins, and I live on Atkins Ave. in Ridgecrest.
In terms of guts and courage, no one stands taller than Audie Murphy.
That’s the second comment of this nature today 😃
Murphy was the real McCoy.
Audie Murphy was a real life action hero and true American badass. he might have been shorter but he stood taller then all of the others
Came here to say this
OH !!! Hell yeah !!! Most decorated US Soldier in History , absolutely !
It's amazing how many of these actors were able to conceal their shortness or tallness
in stature, during their acting careers! At 77, I have seen a few of them, in person, &
knew that they were much shorter then they appeared on screen! Even some tall actors
had to hide their extreme height, for fear of being too tall for female co-stars! Great job!
Thank you 🙏
20 years as Marshal Matt Dillion (James Arnes) 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) and wounded in WWII.
You need to read the intro and description before commenting this. He’s in part 1
James Arnes at 79" tall would make an easy target. It makes sense why he was wounded in WW2 and not Audie Murphy.
@@georgcantor7172 part 1 as well
His brother Peter Graves was 6'3".
@@LeeCopus he’s in this video isn’t he?
Audie Murphy was head and shoulders above the rest! Apparently what they said in the old days....dynamite comes in small packages was correct!
Absolutely
How interesting to see a height comparison of all the Three Stooges!
Think there might be 4 😃
I saw all of the "Three Stooges" in person in 1963, i.e. Curly Joe, not Curly,
when I was 16 & realized then how short they were!
Watching this just reminded me of a fun Uncle I had, who had some silly names for the old actors. Victor Manure, Rasil Backbone, Humphrey Go-cart. 😄 R.I.P. Uncle Bud.
Lol
That was very interesting and entertaining! Thanks!
Thank you 🙏
Well done and very entertaining . Loved both parts !
Thank you 🙏
@@DataWatch. gonna watch more 😀
I have to say Mark for actors born before 1940 I seemed to know a lot. Mostly from old movies growing up as a kid. This looks like it has taken off in the right direction mate and I hope the trend explodes from now on. It's so reassuring that most of the popular actors ever filmed are of normal height and not extremely tall. There is hope for us yet mate!
Have a great night and all the best with the new release and the merch :)
Thanks mate 😊
def liked, thank you
😊😊
Nicely done
Great audio tracks
I like the way you disk their names “action”
Thanks 😊
Nice work brother ❤️🔥😃.. When I watch your height videos, I always think of how much effort you have to put in to make these🔥.. good one again.
Hopefully I’m back in the views with this
Not sure if it was a coincidence, but switching to Ride of the Valkyries for Robert Duvall was an awesome Apocalypse Now reference
It’s definitely a coincidence 🤣
Fantastic job !!! It's sad that I probably only heard of 70 percent of the actors !!!! Maybe I should have watched more movies growing up !!! Have a great week
It’s based on my comments section of part 1. Almost all of these guys were suggested after not being in that

Time for some Western movies today

I can't believe Al Lewis was 6 foot tall. I would have guessed 5'4....
Because Herman was so big lol
Huge like from me. I knew a lot of the classic actors but not no 1 unfortunately… I know you put an awful lot of work into these so I hope this one does well for you too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Lee
Wow you got everybody here. Kudos.
Well with part 1 yes lol
I can’t help but notice how stylish the vast majority of them were
Good observation
@@DataWatch.
Same applies to part 1. Great videos by the way.
I’m a fan of Clint Eastwood who stood 6.4. I saw a picture of him recently with the actor Jason Momao who is 6.4.
I know Clint is 92 and I know people lose height as they grow older but in the pics of him with Momoa he barely reached Momoas Shoulder with the top of his head. It appears that Clint is around 5.8 or less now. That’s a lot of height to lose. I did think it could be the angle of the picture but there were several images and it’s clear that Clint has sadly lost a lot of height.
@@judex3226 yes he’s lost a lot of height bless him.
Style counts for a lot in that profession, especially in Hollywood.
@@judex3226 must have been the angle shot.
We do lose height with age , but a foot ?
Unless there is some spinal issues.
Murphy had more courage and heart than all the rest put together….
I got slated for missing him in part 1
In the war, he was not merely ACTING like a hero.
I wouldn't under rate Donald Pleasance; shot down over Germany and POW.
@@clevlandblock didn’t know that… thanks.
A lot of these guys served, also.

Nice video but near the end I think 'Michael Williams' looks to be William Marshall aka Blacula
It is. It’s in the description. I’ve written the wrong name, not even sure how I did it. There isn’t a 6’5 Mike Williams far as I know
@@DataWatch. Thanks for replying - BTW Judi Dench's late husband was called Michael Williams but definitely not 6'5" nor classic Hollywood
@@pauld9421 yea I know there is one but like you say not a 6’5 one. I honestly can’t understand why I’ve written that name, I gather the names in a book and I’ve got William Marshall written down at 6’5 hence the correct picture and height 🤷♂️🤦🏻🤣
Strange how you tend to imagine most of them taller or shorter than they are.
I get many comments of this nature

No. Thank you 🙏
The one that really surprised me was Dustin Hoffman at 5'5 1/2 but the list should have included James Arness at 6"7 since it did include his brother Peter Graves.
Did you not read the intro text, pinned comment or description? There’s a part 1
I would've bet that Alan Napier wasn't on the list but there he was ... looking down at everyone else.
Alan Napier was Alfred Pennyworth on the Batman and Robin show.

While I enjoyed the height comparisons, there's no way that Jack Webb was 5-feet 10-inches tall. That was the whole, long-running joke about his prolific radio and television career: he went into acting because he didn't meet the height requirement for his dream job in the LAPD. At best, he was 5'6" or 5'7".
I’ve not seen anything that backs up your statement! You are welcome to show me something….
Missed Clint Walker at 6.6 and James Arnes at 6.7. Walker was also VERY muscular as well.
I didn’t. Read the intro. They are in part 1 and nobody is repeated in this part 2
