This episode is actually my earliest memory of Get Smart. I was 5 years old watching the original episode with my parents. Of course, this inspired me to watch all the reruns aired on local TV during the early 1970s.
+OldGamer61 Yes- I just love Schtakar- how do you spell that name ! He tried soo hard and was so stupid that he made Max look smart! Ha Ha ! Little pun or play on words there! It's late and I am tired- please excuse me !
@OldGamer61- when I first watched GS I loved it and then when I watched it in my late teens it drove me nuts because 99 was smart and she had to kowtow to dumb Max (as I saw it at that stage in my life!) and then in my late twenties I realised that THAT was the point of the show - that Max was dumb and that EVERYONE else knew that - and that was one of the reasons that the show was so funny ! It was a journey !!!
+Kate Satriani This is true! And it is always so predictable too. For example whenever he would say to someone he was protecting something like "you're perfectly safe here. No one knows we're here", there would always be gunshots in the next scene or someone would kill or kidnap the person he was protecting while he was right there, unaware. I also liked the scenes with the cone of silence and all the other Control inventions that didn't work.
+sdgakatbk I agree completely - that and when the Chief always got his Max headaches ! That was half the fun of the show wasn;t it? The wink, wink, nudge , nudge from the directors and producers to the audience! That we were all in on the joke? Well except for Max!?
Bernie Koppel was always so hilarious...that face so pained at Schtarker's inane droning. Like this annoyed Nazi Colonel that sounded and kvetched a little Yiddish. Still, timeless classic.
My favorite Seigfried / Starker bit was when they were at the North pole, and Sigfriend had let all the dogs go, because, " We're at ze North Pole ... it's all DOWNHILL from HEAH!"
Get Smart, Hogan's Heros, Mchales Navy, The Adams family, The Munster, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, The Monkeys, are examples of great clean comedy that has stood the test of time. Sorely missed.
@@chrislong3938 I couldn't find the series set, so i ended up buying all five seasons at once individually; except for Season 3 which I had to order. Once I got to Season 3, I knew why it had sold out!! Lots of Get Smart memories from Dejaview there!!
Was it the episode in Season 4; Max and 99 wash up on Schwartz's Island and find those 2 clowns there. When they say the island is moveable, Sigfreid tells them it has a huge outboard motor... then Starker does that sound that just... OMG, funniest scene-stealing noise....!
Like most 50's and 60's sitcoms, Get Smart has not been available on any streaming service nor is it run regularly on any basic cable stations. Two entire generations have grown up ignorant of the brilliance of this program.
1:47 Siegfried : You met to tell me you feed human food prison to the dogs that they can't eat? are you stupid?! You could of made them sick! No wonder why they ran away! I would run too if I was the dogs after feeding me human food prison that I can't eat to make me sick. And I don't blame dogs for running away.
Episodes of Get Smart featuring Siegfried were always my favorites.
Siegfried could have had his own show. He was hilarious.
I agree he was off the hook and a dope as$ actor!!!
Better than Colonel Klink
He did the love boat😊😊😊

Did the show take place during WW2?
Are used to watch these with my grandpa and now I watch them with my uncle and aunt. I got the whole collection on DVD God bless Don Adams soul
Love these shows. Brings back memories of my youth. .
I loved it when Siegfried said to Starker: " Starker, ve don't shoosh heah!!!".
🎯🎯🎯🎯
Zigfried und Schtacka were 2 of my favorite characters on Get Smart. It was a hilarious show.
Their names are Siegfried and Starker (merely spoken in the proper German way).
Siegfred was always the best villain. The original Dr. Evil.
Great stuff, best comedy show of the 60s and maybe of all time.
+OldGamer61 Yes- I just love Schtakar- how do you spell that name ! He tried soo hard and was so stupid that he made Max look smart! Ha Ha ! Little pun or play on words there! It's late and I am tired- please excuse me !
+Kate Satriani Yeah. He (King Moody) and Siegfried (Bernie Kopell) played off each other so well. And imo, this is the funniest sitcom of all time.

Sigfrid y Shtarker, unos genios!!! Qué buenos momentos!
Siegfried episodes were always the best!
Bernie Koppel was always so hilarious...that face so pained at Schtarker's inane droning. Like this annoyed Nazi Colonel that sounded and kvetched a little Yiddish. Still, timeless classic.
That's right Bobby, it's Schtarker, that's the way Siegfried called him as. " Schtarker, ve don't shoosh heah!!!".
Bernie Kopell did a great job as Maxwell Smart's nemesis, Siegfried. Also, King Moody as Shtarker was a perfect foil for Siegfried.
Fun fact - King Moody was also famous for playing Ronald McDonald. Believe it or not.
@@bradwilliams1691 The king was also in that Golden Turkey "Teenagers from Outer Space"..lol
@@patgalvez4563 Closest thing to a real actor in THAT stupid film!! 🤣🤣
Siefried was always my favorite Kaos 😆😂
My favorite Seigfried / Starker bit was when they were at the North pole, and Sigfriend had let all the dogs go, because, " We're at ze North Pole ... it's all DOWNHILL from HEAH!"
O my god... those lines, delivered so well... its both hilarious AND nostalgic!
The both made me laugh so much... " The Same Thing We Feed The President "......love you guys !!!!
the prisoners
"The same thing we feed the prisoners".....YOU FEED THAT TO THE DOGS!? YOU COULD'VE MADE THEM SICK! lol!
You stupid.... Yuuuuukk
It's a bit less funny considering veterinarians have cautioned that feeding dogs most human foods are bad for their health.
@@kchishol1970 Not sure KAOS feed them human food.....
But at least I got them on tape before they left....lol.
My favorite Siegfried scene is where he's threatening a pigeons family if the pidgeon doesn't lead him to his mad bomber owner.
King and Bernie what a crack up 😂 they played it so well , loved all of get smart but those two villains were my favourites!
I lost it when Schtarker pulled out a stereo of a recording of dogs barking, instead of actual dogs lol.
I was today years old when I found out that Siegfried was the doctor on the Love Boat.
This is Kaos! We don’t do that anymore!
Now that's humor .
Siegfried rolling his eyes as his minion is talking. He's thinking, "Someone hates me upstairs."
Get Smart, Hogan's Heros, Mchales Navy, The Adams family, The Munster, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, The Monkeys, are examples of great clean comedy that has stood the test of time. Sorely missed.

Bernie Kopell was excellent as Siegfried!
Stalker! you don't dislike here!!!
Stacka was also Ronald McDonald once upon a time
Wow. It STILL works!
Starker is KAOSs Larrabee
I guess Starker was playing it a bit "ruff" there. Oh, tut mir leid, Zis is Kaos, ve don't "ruff" here! LOL
Amen. He was brilliantl
The comedian who played Starker (Robert "King" Moody) was also no slouch! His facial tics? Comedic genius!
anyone know where the footage of them is where Starkers making motorbike noises? Cant seem to find it anymore?
Starker we don't do that here 😆

another day in Kaos XD
"Somewhere in New Jersey"
I'm crackin' up! thank you!
Dr. Evil: Siegfried is my mentor and hero.
Shhtakah !
That's my kind of "to be continued"...
Top 5 1960s show
Bernie should have appeared on Love Boat --- as Siegfried.
Remember thinking chihuahuas would come out !
Bermie Kopell will always be Siegfried to me.
Dis is kaos we don’t Shosh here lol
Where does one get an official Kaos patch these days?
max has a real SS cap....he looks like adolph eichman....eeeyyiicchh!....seigfreid was also on the love boat....as a dork.
CusterFlux that would be cool to have or a big kaos wall sign would be cool to have.
You have to be a Kaos member. Please join our team. We are recruiting.
@@MartinZanichelli 🤣
@@MartinZanichelli But Bill Mumy won't join KAOS because Barbara Feldon as 99 was Bill Mumy's crush.

Really? How does voice of dog in tape recorder do? Scare the intruders away?
Starker was calmer and cooler than Siegfried!
Everybody was calmer than Siegfried. Ol' Ziggy had the worst temper in sitcom history.
What episode was this?
Was this Get Smart or Hogan’s Heroes?
goof on NVthe great escape the best of get smart
I wish I was the dogs on that episode I would run away too away after Stalker feed me that human prison food that I can't eat to make me sick.
A tape recorder? Really?
What an idiot.
Days of magnetic tape🎂
This reminds me of Putins current military might.
